After a nine-year hiatus, Jon Stewart is back in his old spot as the host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show.

Stewart is trying to reestablish his left-wing credentials.

And Tucker Carlson shared a video from his recent trip to Russia that sent Jon Stewart off the rails.

Last Monday, comedian Jon Stewart returned to The Daily Show for the first time in nine years.

During his previous time at the network, Stewart turned The Daily Show away from comedy and more into a news program for Democrats and the radical Left.

But during last Monday’s show, Stewart drew fire from the Left for reporting on what Special Counsel Robert Hur wrote in his damning report about Joe Biden’s mental decline.

Stewart said Hur’s report noted Biden’s “diminished faculties and faulty memory.”

“If charged, Mr. Biden will likely present himself to the jury as he did during his interview with our office, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

“This guy couldn’t remember stuff during his deposition,” Stewart declared. “Do you understand what that means?” he continued. “He had no ability to recall very basic things under questioning.”

“The footage of the President unable to recall simple facts must have been brutal to watch,” Stewart added.

Stewart’s comments drew fire from his left-wing viewers who were outraged that he would dare to state the obvious about Joe Biden.

And on this Monday’s episode, Stewart appeared to try and reestablish his credentials with his far-Left fan base after drawing their anger the previous week.

Stewart decided to go after former Fox News host Tucker Carlson for the way he reported on his recent trip to Russia, where he interviewed Vladimir Putin.

“Carlson used his time in Moscow to single out the cleanliness of train stations and praised the supermarkets,” Breitbart reported. “A tour of a grocery outlet then saw Carlson take a dig at homeless Americans.”

In his opening monologue, Stewart poked fun at the look on Carlson’s face during the interview with Putin.

“It’s not really a straight face so much as you try to convey a mixture of what appears to be shame, arousal and I’m gonna say irregularity,” Stewart said. “For instance, like you’re constipated while j*****g off to a Sears catalog.”

“I know I’ve said this before: You’re such a d**k,” Stewart continued. “Really, truly, like a d**k.”

Stewart especially took issue with Carlson for claiming he had been “radicalized” against America’s leaders on his trip to Russia.

Carlson could not believe how much he was able to buy for $100 at the grocery store in Russia.

“Radicalized!” Stewart said. “And it will radicalize you ― unless you understand basic economics,” he continued. “See, $104 for groceries sounds like a great bargain unless you realize Russians earn less than $200 a week.”

Stewart then accused Carlson of fanning the flames of public dissent in America by allegedly spreading false information.

“But here’s the reality,” he said. “You f*****g know all this because you aren’t as dumb as your face would have us believe.”

Comedy programs like The Daily Show were funny back when they poked fun at all sides instead of serving as Democrat mouthpieces.
