Ocasio-Cortez praises pro-Palestinian protests sweeping over college campuses
In remarks introducing Joe Biden at an earth day event, Ocasio-Cortez offered words of encouragement for increasingly dangerous protests at colleges like Yale and Columbia.
“Today also serves as a reminder of the power of organizing, of what we can accomplish when young people, climate advocates, labor organizers and working people of all backgrounds come together to demand the future we all deserve,” Ocasio-Cortez declared.
“It is especially important that we remember the power of young people shaping the country today of all days, as we once again witness the leadership of those peaceful student-led protests on campuses like Columbia, Yale, Berkeley and many others,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.
Ocasio-Cortez lavishing praise on pro-Palestinian activists at Yale and Columbia came on the heels of rabbi Elie Buechler sending a message to Jewish students to flee Columbia’s campus because their safety could no longer be guaranteed, and a pro-Palestinian protestor at Yale stabbed a Jewish student in the eye with a sign.
Other protestors put up signs proclaiming “death to America” and chanted “go back to Poland” at Jewish students.
Pro-Palestinian protests continue to grow more radical
At Columbia, the increasingly militarized protests adopted the language of Marxists where leaders asked demonstrators to form platoons to resist police and asked them, “will you be ready to turn up for your comrades?”

A pro-Palestinian activist also marched on New York City Police Department headquarters with some demonstrators carrying flares.
Radicalized pro-Hamas students are marching on the NYPD HQ.

Joe Biden claimed there were very fine people on both sides and refused to explicitly denounce the acts of violence that have occurred.
