The Democrats lied when they sold Joe Biden as a moderate.
He’s in line with Bernie Sanders and the other socialists on a number of issues.
And one top Biden official revealed just how radical the Democrats really are on immigration.
Of all the major issues, the Democrats have perhaps become the most radical on immigration.
The party once opposed illegal immigration on American labor grounds – in 2015 Bernie Sanders even called open borders a “Koch brothers proposal.”
But now the Democrats have fully embraced open borders, if not in name, most certainly in spirit.
And Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas made that quite clear when he said to the U.S. Conference of Mayors that “unlawful presence in the United States, alone, will not be a basis for immigration enforcement action … it is a matter of justice and equity as well.”
Any time a leftist says “equity,” it should send a shiver down people’s spines.
Mayorkas is essentially saying that illegal aliens have the same rights as American citizens under the banner of “equity.”
“On September 30 of this past year … I issued new immigration enforcement guidelines. And in those guidelines, I articulated what I think is a very important principle. That we will not dedicate our limited enforcement resources to apprehend individuals who have been here in this country for many years who have been contributing members of our communities,” Mayorkas continued.
In other words, deportation of illegal aliens has been deprioritized on Biden’s watch.
Some have even called the Biden doctrine “sanctuary country” policies.
Lora Ries, a former DHS official said, “Forget sanctuary cities – this turns America into a sanctuary country. Prominent leftists have spent the past months calling to ‘abolish ICE.’ The Biden administration effectively just made their wish come true.”
Supposedly only aggravated felonies will be grounds for deportation, but even illegal aliens charged with heinous crimes have been permitted to stay in the country.
Unsurprisingly, the Democrats’ policies have served as a magnet for more illegal immigration.
Democrats promised them jobs and free healthcare, so of course they would come.
And based on the statements and actions of Mayorkas, the Democrats are attempting to make good on those promises.
Illegal aliens crossing the border are being dispersed throughout the country in violation of immigration law.
No matter how much Americans vote against illegal immigration, they get more of it.
