Parents all over the country are furious at the radical policies being forced on their children.
Teachers’ unions are working hand in fist with school boards to mask up and dumb down children while forcing Marxism on them.
But now, even San Francisco’s political elite just got crushed by a massive parent earthquake no one saw coming.
According to the leftist San Francisco Chronicle, residents in San Francisco voted overwhelmingly to recall three school board members following a recall effort based on the radical leftist school board’s lack of any plan to reopen schools.
Of course, it didn’t help that the School Board also promoted such radical ideas as CRT, transgenderism and even wanted to rename Abraham Lincoln High School because, well, racism.
It isn’t enough that Lincoln led hundreds of thousands of Americans to their deaths in order to end slavery. It turns out for today’s “anti-racists” that just isn’t good enough.
But clearly it was good enough to the voters of San Francisco.
San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) Board President Gabriela Lopez, Vice President Faauuga Moliga, and Commissioner Alison Collins were each kicked out of office by shocking 50-point margins, according to the San Francisco Department of Elections.
Collins was ousted by the largest margin.
Siva Raj, one of the parents who got the recall effort started, told the New York Post that it “is not acceptable to put our kids last.” His recall effort website stated that the school board put changing school names over returning San Francisco children to in-person learning.
Raj was referring to the effort of the board to attempt to rename some 44 schools that were claimed were “linked to racism.”
These schools included ones named after Founding Father George Washington, President Abraham Lincoln, and even Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein.
And as if that weren’t enough, the school district also faces a $125 million budget deficit. But sure, claim it was all about COVID.
Even Democrat San Francisco Mayor London Breed backed the recall effort and went so far as to issue a statement strongly condemning the board’s warped priorities.
“Talk is not going to educate our children, it’s action. It’s not about symbolic action, it’s not about changing the name on a school, it’s about helping kids inside the school building read and learn math,” Breed said.
“The voters of this city have delivered a clear message that the school board must focus on the essentials of delivering a well-run school system above all else,” Breed continued.
But, not to be deterred, School Board President Shamann Walton claimed the backers of the recall were all a bunch of, “closeted Republicans and most certainly folks with conservative values in San Francisco.”
The fact is, backers of the recall were a very mixed bag, with everyone from the Democrat Mayor to Chinese American leaders, to Republican activists (what few there are), and even the colorful Gaybraham Lincoln.
What is left to be seen is what will happen when the new school board members take their seats.
