Parents will be furious about these provisions in Biden’s socialist spending bill

It’s not uncommon for politicians to say one thing and then do another.

But for Democrats, it’s a way of life.

And parents – many of whom might have voted for Biden – will be furious about these provisions in Biden’s socialist spending bill.

Remember when the Obama Administration unveiled their Cash for Clunkers program, which ended up causing the prices of used cars to skyrocket?

Well, if Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” Act is signed into law, parents could be paying a lot more cash for clunker quality childcare.

According to Casey Mulligan, a Trump-era economic adviser and economics professor at the University of Chicago, provisions included in the President’s spending bill could cause the cost of daycare for middle-class families to skyrocket 122%.

Democrats claim these provisions will make child care more affordable, but Mulligan isn’t convinced.

Mulligan estimates that the bill would cost a family with an infant and a four-year-old an additional $27,000 for the same care they’re paying for currently.

80% of the increased costs are caused by the bill’s living wage provisions, which requires child care providers to be paid “equivalent to wages for elementary educators with similar credentials and experience.”

The bill also removes financial incentives to offer low-cost care and increases regulations on the childcare industry, all of which could end up costing working-class families $20,000 to $30,000 MORE for daycare.

During this time of soaring inflation, and even during good economic times like during the Trump years, parents can barely afford childcare now, let alone a $20,000 spike.

In fact, our team at Right News Wire has already received reports of spouses dropping out of the workforce to watch their children full-time because of the already exorbitant cost of daycare.

If Democrats thought parents were angry at them over Critical Race Theory being taught in the classroom, they haven’t seen how angry parents can get when they’re paying tens of thousands of dollars more for the same daycare they’re paying for now.

In light of the potential financial harm these provisions pose to parents, the Senate should remove them from the bill immediately.

Democrats may have crafted these childcare provisions with the best intentions in mind, but the highway to Hell is paved with good intentions.

And should the President’s “Build Back Better” Act be enacted, Americans can expect at least another mile of that particular highway to be paved.
