One company dunked on M&M’s after an embarrassing “woke” fail

People are getting fed up with excessive wokeness.

Businesses are slowly learning that catering to a small group of activists is a losing proposition.

And one company dunked on M&M’s after an embarrassing “woke” fail.

For some bizarre reason, many corporations have decided to light money on fire by courting a “woke” audience that doesn’t even really like their products.

It’s an insane business model to go after such a small subset of the population at the expense of everyone else.

And companies might have finally caught on.

M&M’s candy is walking back its far-left marketing campaign that promoted feminism, body positivity, and other weird concepts that had nothing to do with eating peanuts and chocolate.

M&M’s scrapped the ad campaign and announced actress Maya Rudolph as the spokeswoman for the brand.

But A&W Root Beer did not miss the opportunity to take a shot at M&M’s for its embarrassing folly with wokeness.

M&M’s wrote in a statement, “America, let’s talk . . . In the last year, we’ve made some changes to our spokescandies. We weren’t sure if anyone would even notice. And we definitely didn’t think it would break the internet. But now we get it — even a candy’s shoes can be polarizing.”

The Green M&M had come under fire for wearing “sexy” high heels, so the company gave her sneakers and a stronger feminist bent.

The company continued, “Therefore, we have decided to take an indefinite pause from the spokescandies . . . In their place, we are proud to introduce a spokesperson America can agree on: the beloved Maya Rudolph. We are confident Ms. Rudolph will champion the power of fun to create a world where everyone feels they belong.”

A&W mocked M&M’s by putting out a statement of their own that mirrored the Rudolph announcement.

The statement read, “America, let’s talk . . . Since 1963, Rooty the Great Root Bear has been our beloved spokesbear. We knew people would notice because he’s literally a 6-foot tall bear wearing an orange sweater. But now we get it – even a mascot’s lack of pants can be polarizing…Therefore, we have decided that Rooty will wear jeans going forward…Not to worry though: he will remain our official spokesbear. After all, he is un-bear-ably cute and im-paw-ssible to replace. We are confident Rooty will continue to champion good food & good times for many years to come . . . now in denim.”


A&W is right to mock M&M’s.

Far-left nonsense needs to be ridiculed out of existence.
