Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is fighting back against the Biden regime.
She’s putting Democrats on notice over one sinister scheme.
And Lauren Boebert made one bold move that left Democrats seething with rage.
Twitter CEO Elon Musk pulled the curtain back on the disturbing collusion between the FBI and the company’s former leadership.
His release of the Twitter Files exposed the FBI and Twitter’s plot to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story to run interference in the 2020 election, silencing of conservatives on the platform, and the deep ties between the social media platform and the FBI.
The FBI paid Twitter nearly $3.5 million in taxpayer money between 2019 and 2021 for costs associated with carrying out the FBI’s censorship requests.
The FBI admitted that the money it paid Twitter was a “reimbursement” for the “reasonable costs and expenses associated with their response to a legal process . . . For complying with legal requests, and a standard procedure.”
FBI officials said that Twitter wasn’t the only company that they were paying but wouldn’t reveal which others received taxpayer money to censor.
“Government paid Twitter millions of dollars to censor info from the public,” Elon Musk said about the bombshell revelation.
Conservative firebrand Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is putting her foot down over this outrageous abuse of taxpayer money to fund censorship.
She introduced the ELON Act, or Exposing Lewd Outlays for Social Networking Companies, in a nod to new Twitter owner Elon Musk.
The bill would require that the U.S. Comptroller General submit a report to congress about money that the Justice Department paid to Twitter, Google, Apple and Meta since January 1, 2015.
“Big Tech is in bed with the FBI and other agencies to the point where Congress can’t tell where one ends and the other begins,” Boebert told Fox News. “The millions of dollars sent to Twitter that we know of during an election year when they were at the same time censoring the Hunter Biden laptop from hell, is incredibly concerning.”
The ELON Act would also require a report from every federal agency on taxpayer money sent to Big Tech companies along with a one-year ban on the Justice Department making any additional payments to Big Tech.
“We must expose the incestuous relationship between Big Tech and the federal government,” Boebert said. “My bill does exactly that.”
Boebert serves on the House Oversight Committee that recently hauled in former Twitter executives to testify.
The Colorado Congresswoman slammed former Twitter executives for hiding her account and other conservatives from users on the platform.
Yoel Roth, the former top censor at Twitter, told Boebert during the hearing that he had met with the FBI over ten times while claiming he didn’t remember the precise number.
Lauren Boebert’s bill would throw a monkey wrench in the collusion between Big Tech and the Justice Department to silence conservatives.
