Kevin McCarthy won his tense bid for House Speaker.
So far, he isn’t wasting any time going after Democrats.
And McCarthy made one shocking statement that could’ve ended a Democrat’s political career.
Conservatives within the Republican Party were reluctant to vote for Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker, and their concerns were not unfounded.
But McCarthy has at least come out the box swinging.
During a recent press conference, McCarthy defended his decision to strip Adam Schiff, Ilhan Omar, and Eric Swalwell from committee assignments.
Democrats and their corporate-controlled media allies slammed the move as revenge for Nancy Pelosi breaking from precedent and removing Republicans from assignments during her reign.
But McCarthy shot down that argument when he absolutely torched Swalwell.
McCarthy said, “If you got the briefing I got from the FBI, you wouldn’t have Swalwell on any committee. And you’re gonna tell me other Democrats couldn’t fill that slot? He cannot get a security clearance in the private sector, so would you like to give him a government clearance?”
That is a jaw-dropping revelation, likely related to Swalwell’s alleged sexual relationship with a Chinese spy named Fang Fang who fled the country amid an FBI probe.
Unsurprisingly, The New York Times and other mainstream outlets refused to report on the story.
McCarthy continued, “You asked me questions about [George] Santos. Have you asked the questions about Swalwell? Not only was he getting a clearance, he was inside an intel committee. He had more information than the majority of all the members. Did you ever raise that issue? No, but you should’ve.”
It’s absurd that a Congressman who had a years-long relationship with a known Chinese spy was allowed to remain on the House Intelligence Committee without any skepticism from the press.
McCarthy added that the “only way that they even knew” about Swalwell’s security risks “is when they went to nominate him to the Intel Committee, and then the FBI came and told the leadership then, ‘He’s got a problem’ . . . And they kept him on. That jeopardized all of us.”

For years, the Left whined about Donald Trump being in collusion with Russia.
Meanwhile, a sitting member of Congress had an ongoing relationship with a Chinese spy, and there was absolutely no curiosity from the so-called “mainstream” media.
If the press actually starts asking questions of Swalwell, it could get really uncomfortable for him.
