Dr. Anthony Fauci is an insufferable, self-righteous, bureaucratic busybody.
That’s why he is constantly giving annoyingly arrogant answers when he’s forced to testify before Congress and thus the American people.
Thankfully, Senator Roger Marshall has had enough of Fauci’s antics and introduced a bill to finally put him in his place.
If enacted, the Financial Accountability for Uniquely Compensated Individuals (FAUCI) Act would mandate that the Office of Government Ethics provide a list of all confidential filers within the government whose financial disclosures are not public.
In a written statement Senator Marshall of Kansas said, “Just like he (Dr. Anthony Fauci) has misled the American people about sending taxpayers dollars to Wuhan, China to fund gain-of-function research, about masks, testing, and more, Dr. Fauci was completely dishonest about his financial disclosures being open to the public – it’s no wonder he is the least trusted bureaucrat in America. At the end of the day, Dr. Fauci must be held accountable to all Americans who have been suing and requesting for this information but don’t have the power of a Senate office to ask for it. For these reasons, I will be introducing the FAUCI Act so financial disclosures like these are made public and are easily accessible online to every American.”
But the Republican Senator wasn’t done ripping the “good” doctor a new one.
He continued, “Dr. Fauci lied to the American people. He is more concerned with being a media star and posing for the cover of magazines than he is being honest with the American people and holding China accountable for the COVID pandemic that has taken the lives of almost 850 thousand Americans.”
In case you were wondering what prompted the senator to become so irate with Fauci, one need look no further than the events of last week.
During a Senate hearing, Senator Marshall questioned Dr. Fauci about a number of issues including his financial disclosures and investments.
Sen. Marshall’s questions, including questions about Dr. Fauci’s dismal approval ratings and funding gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, so infuriated Fauci that he was caught on a hot mic calling the Kansas Republican a “moron.”
While the Fake News Media may try to paint this outburst from Fauci as uncharacteristic, those who’ve been paying attention to Fauci’s congressional appearances know it’s just the first time he’s been caught.
Since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Fauci has sparred with other prominent Republican Members of Congress including Senators Rand Paul and Ted Cruz.
Even though it is unlikely that Senator Marshall’s FAUCI Act will ever be signed into law, especially with Joe Biden in the White House, it certainly is refreshing to know that some in Congress are as fed up with Fauci as the rest of us.
