Beto O’Rourke lit his political career on fire with one insane gun control message

Beto O’Rourke’s future in politics is murky at best.

He’s flailing around desperately to gain any kind of traction.

But O’Rourke just lit his political career on fire with one insane gun control message.

Democrats once pinned their hopes on Beto O’Rourke when they thought he could dethrone Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

O’Rourke lost.

Democrats again tried to elevate him to stardom, but his Presidential campaign went absolutely nowhere – he was even condemned as being another “straight, white, male.”

The party, hell-bent on diversity, instead bet on Joe Biden.

O’Rourke lost again.

Now Beto is back, and he’s running for Governor of Texas.

And his promise to Texans is that he’s going to take their guns.

At a recent event, O’Rourke said that nobody should be allowed “to purchase an AR-15 or AK-47 . . . I don’t think that the people who have them right now in civilian use should be able to keep them.”

So he wants to confiscate rifles, a proposal that will not go over well in Texas.

O’Rourke has flipped on the issue multiple times.

He once remarked, “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15.”

It’s rare that Democrats come out and say it, but O’Rourke is a rare bird, as evidenced by his eating dirt in New Mexico because of its “regenerative powers.”

As O’Rourke was losing ground in the polls against Governor Greg Abbott, he tried to soften his stance.

He said during an interview, “I’m not interested in taking anything from anyone. What I want to make sure that we do is defend the Second Amendment . . . I want to make sure that we protect our fellow Texans far better than we’re doing right now. And that we listen to law enforcement, which Greg Abbott refused to do. He turned his back on them when he signed that permitless carry bill that endangers the lives of law enforcement in a state that’s seen more cops and sheriff’s deputies gunned down than in any other.”

Now with his run for Governor in tatters, O’Rourke is going for broke in full-blown gun-grabber mode.

And he truly debased himself at a press conference after the horrific shooting in Uvalde, Texas.

O’Rourke’s political star has fallen.

He’s scrambling for anything to remain relevant, but it’s not going to work.

Radical policies are not popular with the American people, and certainly not in Texas.
