Kamala Harris continues stepping on one political landmine after another.
Harris’ penchant for creating political firestorms is why Democrats never want her to be the party nominee for President.
And all hell broke loose after what Kamala Harris just said about Al Sharpton.
Kamala Harris spoke at the National Action Network convention and lavished praise on the bigoted and anti-Semitic Al Sharpton.
“I thank you on behalf of all of us, everyone, for all that you do, and all that you are,” Harris declared. “And as I have said in public and in private many times, Rev, no matter where you are, you are always a voice of truth, speaking about the importance of justice for all people, you are part of the conscience of our country, and I thank you for all that you do.”
Speaking at this conference and kissing Sharpton’s ring is a rite of passage for aspiring Democrat politicians as Sharpton is now treated as some kind of civil rights movement elder.
But in reality, Sharpton is one of the most poisonous forces in American politics.
Sharpton played a prominent role in promoting the Tawana Brawley hoax in 1987, where Brawley fabricated rape and sexual assault allegations against four white men.
In 1991, Sharpton inflamed the Crown Heights race riots.
A Jewsish man was driving a car in a procession when another car struck his vehicle as he crossed an intersection.
The collision caused the man’s car to strike and kill a seven-year-old Guyanese boy, leading to days of rioting where black residents targeted Jewish businesses.
A group of black men stabbed and killed Yankel Rosenbaum as they shouted “kill the Jew.”
After Rosenbaum’s death, Sharpton led a march where he ignited more hatred and passion by delivering an anti-Semitic speech, attacking Jewish residents of Crown Heights with anti-Semitic slurs and defending the riots.
“If the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house,” Sharpton declared at the time.
“The world will tell us he was killed by accident. Yes, it was a social accident . . . It’s an accident to allow an apartheid ambulance service in the middle of Crown Heights . . . Talk about how Oppenheimer in South Africa sends diamonds straight to Tel Aviv and deals with the diamond merchants right here in Crown Heights. The issue is not anti-Semitism; the issue is apartheid . . . All we want to say is what Jesus said: If you offend one of these little ones, you got to pay for it. No compromise, no meetings, no kaffe klatsch, no skinnin’ and grinnin’. Pay for your deeds,” Sharpton continued in his anti-Semitic rant.
Harris praising Sharpton is another shameful mark on her already shameful career.
And if Harris even runs for President she will have to answer for associating herself with Sharpton.
