And now Tucker Carlson just made one major announcement about Elon Musk’s Twitter platform that caught everyone by surprise.
The anticipation surrounding Tucker Carlson’s next move is growing.
On Tuesday, Carlson updated his website with the headline “Tucker is back” along with an option to sign up for details when they are announced.
But Carlson provided no further details on the website.
However, on Tuesday Carlson posted a video on social media that included a hint of what he has planned moving forward.
Carlson will soon launch a new show on Elon Musk’s Twitter platform.
The video began with Carlson telling viewers that “the news you consume is a lie of the stealthiest and most insidious kind.”
“Facts have been withheld on purpose,” Carlson continued, before adding that “you are being manipulated.”
Carlson sounded the alarm about the decline of free speech and warned that the media has “limits” as to what can be said on air.
“And you know if you bump up against those limits often enough, you will be fired for it,” Carlson said. “That’s not a guess; it’s guaranteed. Every person who works in English language media understands that. The rule of what you can’t say defines everything.”
Carlson said that “speech is the fundamental prerequisite for democracy.”
“Amazingly, as of tonight, there are not that many platforms left that allow free speech,” Carlson said. “The last big one remaining . . . is Twitter, where we are now.”
Carlson then announced what he had planned for the future.
“Starting soon, we will be doing a new version of the show we’ve been doing for six-and-a-half years to Twitter,” Tucker said. “We’ll bring some other things too, which we’ll tell you about,” he continued, before adding, “but for now, we’re just grateful to be here.”
Carlson ended his brief video by reiterating the importance of free speech.
“Free speech is the main right that you have,” Carlson said. “Without it, you have no others.”
Tucker Carlson did not give any details about when he planned to launch the show.
But based on the Twitter video, conservatives are excited to watch Carlson on the platform.
