A handful of Republican Governors are fighting back against Biden’s border crisis at the state level.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott dropped off a busload of illegal aliens in front of Kamala Harris’ home in Washington, D.C. on Christmas Eve.
And now Greg Abbott just humiliated Kamala Harris with this one surprising announcement about securing the border.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott is one of the Republican Governors working to protect their state from the illegal immigration crisis unleashed by Biden’s open borders agenda.
As a border state, Texas is dealing with the brunt of the illegal immigration crisis.
Over the past several months, Abbott infuriated the Left by sending busloads of illegal aliens from Texas to Democrat-run sanctuary cities like Chicago, Washington, D.C., and New York City.
Abbott also invoked the “Invasion Clauses of the U.S. and Texas Constitutions” to protect the state from the record-setting influx of illegal aliens rushing across the border under Joe Biden’s watch.
And on Monday, Abbott took another step to protect Texans by announcing that he hired the state’s first-ever border czar to serve as a “special adviser on border matters to the Governor.”
Of course, Joe Biden appointed Kamala Harris as the regime’s official “border czar” back in March of 2021.
But Harris refuses to even admit there is a crisis, recently telling reporters that “the border is secure.”
And Governor Abbott just appointed his own border czar to do the job Kamala Harris failed to do.
“For nearly two years, the state of Texas has taken unprecedented, historic action under Operation Lone Star in response to the Biden administration’s refusal to secure the border,” Abbott said at a news conference on a border wall construction site in San Benito, Texas. “To continue doing what no other state in the history of our country has done to secure the border, I hired Mike Banks as the state of Texas’ first-ever border czar.”
Banks has years of experience working on border security issues.
He previously served as the Patrol Agent in Charge of one of the largest Border Patrol stations in the Rio Grande Valley Sector, he served in Washington, D.C., at Border Patrol headquarters under U.S. Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz, and he also served briefly as an acting chief patrol agent along the U.S.-Canada Border.
“We found the right person for the job in Mike Banks,” Abbott said during the announcement. “Mike Banks is an award-winning Border Patrol agent” who “has held important Border Patrol leadership positions for more than 20 years, serving under four Presidents.”
Record breaking numbers of illegal aliens have already entered the country on Joe Biden’s watch.
With Biden refusing to secure the border, even higher numbers are expected to cross the border in 2023.
And Republican Governors like Greg Abbott are doing everything they can to protect their citizens from Biden’s growing border crisis.
