Ted Cruz didn’t pull any punches when he called out Biden for this ridiculous statement

When President Joe Biden isn’t mumbling and bumbling his way through a statement, he’s stretching the definition of the truth.

And that’s putting it nicely.

Senator Ted Cruz didn’t put it nearly as nicely when he called out the President for his latest lie.

Gas prices have been on the rise since the day Joe Biden took the oath of office.

Across the country, smart voters have been placing stickers on gas pumps reading, “I did this,” with an image of Joe Biden pointing to the price per gallon.

And the Biden administration knows the now record high gas prices are going to cost his party during the 2022 midterms and even potentially cost Democrats their slim majorities in the U.S. House and Senate.

That’s why Biden is now trying to shift blame for the skyrocketing gas prices that have plagued his tenure for the full year-plus he’s been in office.

The President wants voters to forget the past year of gas station visits and instead blame Vladimir Putin for the surge in gas prices.

In fact, he’s going as far as labeling it, “Putin’s Price Hike.”

“I’m going to do everything I can to minimize Putin’s price hike here at home,” Biden said.

Joe Biden wants you to believe not using Russian oil is the reason prices are so incredibly high.

However, imports only account for about 20% of the U.S. oil supply, and Russian oil only constitutes about 8% of U.S. oil imports.

The fact is, Russian crude oil and petroleum products make up less than 2% of our country’s supply.

That isn’t stopping the rest of Biden’s administration and his allies in Big Media from following the “Putin Price Hike” narrative.

But Senator Ted Cruz of Texas is calling out the lie, and he’s got facts to back him up.

“That’s a flat out lie,” Sen. Cruz tweeted. “Gas prices have increased 48% under Biden—BEFORE RUSSIA INVADED UKRAINE. Biden did that. That’s because Biden: killed Keystone pipeline; froze federal leases, shut down ANWR. All, while Biden waived sanctions on Putin’s pipeline.”

We will find out in November if the President attempts to shift the blame away from him worked.
