Joe Biden’s Chief of Staff said 2021 wasn’t so bad – then the Twittersphere exploded

If you’re comparing 2021 to 2020, you’re comparing apples to oranges.

They were both pretty terrible years, but each in their own unique way.

But Joe Biden’s Chief of Staff said 2021 wasn’t so bad – then the Twittersphere exploded.

To say 2021 was a good year is a gross overstatement, but to say it was a bad isn’t exactly accurate either.

One can’t simply try and compare 2021 to 2020 because they both stunk and both had very different feels about them.

However, that doesn’t mean 2021 was okay by any stretch of the imagination, but Ron Klain thinks it was.

Ron Klain is Joe Biden’s Chief of Staff and he recently drew a storm of mocking when he shared an op-ed that seemed to make light of what has occurred over the last 12 months.

Published beneath the headline Klain tweeted it said, “Let’s be honest: 2021 wasn’t all bad.”

Seems those in the Twittersphere don’t feel the same way.

One Tweet in response to Klain’s claim that 2021 wasn’t “all that bad” said, “Tell that to the families of all the people that died from COVID.”

Another Twitter user simply said, “way too tempting to respond to.”

The article was written by Albert Hunt, former editor of Bloomberg News, and was published online by The Hill.

The article and Klain’s retweet weren’t loved by the Left or the Right.

To claim that 2021 “wasn’t all that bad” is boisterous and shows no regard for the state that America is currently in.

Some on the Left took great offense that a year when people were lost to COVID would be deemed not so bad.

While many on the Right took even more offense to a statement that 2021 wasn’t so bad because Americans are facing rising inflation, small businesses are closing due to a plummeting economy, and children are being taught radical concepts like CRT and transgender curriculum.

All in all, the comment was a total dud and shows just how out of touch with Americans the Biden administration is.

Joe Biden’s approval rating is in the toilet because of soaring gas prices, supply chain issues, a disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan and the ongoing crisis at the southern border.

So, no, Mr. Klain, 2021 wasn’t okay, in fact it wasn’t good at all and it’s your boss’ fault.
