Joe Biden’s presidency has become a slow-motion car crash.
Members of his own party are running away from him.
And Biden was left humiliated after this top Democrat gave him the cold shoulder.
After failed campaigns for Senate and the presidency, Beto O’Rourke is running for governor of Texas.
O’Rourke is unlikely to win considering surveys had him trailing actor Matthew McConaughey before the actor decided not to run for office.
And apparently O’Rourke does not want any help from Joe Biden on the campaign trail.
O’Rourke said in an interview:
“I’m not interested in any national politician — anyone outside of Texas — coming into this state to help decide the outcome of this…I think we all want to make sure that we’re working with, listening to, and voting with one another here in Texas.”
That is code for stay away, Joe Biden!
O’Rourke was more than willing to accept outside support from Hollywood and other leftists when he was running against Ted Cruz for the Senate.
He doesn’t want help from Biden because the president’s poll numbers are abysmal across the board.
A Quinnipiac poll put Biden’s approval ratings at a shocking 33%; Biden entered office with approval in the mid-50s.
His plummet in such a short amount of time has been shocking.
Biden is particularly unpopular in Texas.
His inane immigration policies have led to border towns being overwhelmed by migrants from Mexico, Central America, and even Haiti.
Some Democrat representatives in South Texas even switched their party affiliation to Republican because of the radicalism of Biden and the Democrats.
Also, Texas is one of the top destinations for blue-state refugees.
The last thing the people of Texas want to see is Joe Biden.
O’Rourke isn’t the first Democrat to acknowledge that Biden is a drag on the party.
When Terry McAuliffe ran for governor of Virginia against Republican newcomer Glenn Youngkin, McAuliffe got caught on a conference call saying that Biden was “unpopular” in the state.
With Biden’s popularity in the gutter, O’Rourke would be hurt by an appearance from the president.
But O’Rourke can lose all on his own.
During his bids for Senate and the White House, he exposed himself as a far-left radical.
He even pledged to tear down existing border barriers in El Paso.
Texans do not want to see Biden, and they certainly do not want to see a far-left progressive in the state house.
