The problems associated with electric vehicles are piling up with no end in sight.

Their future has never looked bleaker.

And Kevin O’Leary dropped one fact about electric vehicles that had Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fuming.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) claims that electric vehicles are an essential part of her Green New Deal that aims to eliminate all carbon emissions.

President Joe Biden and Congressional Democrats have spent over $100 billion trying to prop up the electric vehicle industry.

Consumer demand for electric vehicles is plummeting as drivers discover the massive problems with owning these Bidenmobiles.

Kevin O’Leary blasts the electric vehicle push by Democrats

O’Leary Ventures Chairmen Kevin O’Leary – one of the stars of ABC’s Shark Tank – knows how to spot a bad investment.

He appeared on the Fox Business show The Evening Edit where he broke down the problem with the government’s electric push.

Host Elizabeth MacDonald pointed out that Americans aren’t buying electric vehicles and that they remain at less than 10% of the market.

“The real problem with the EV mandate was that it was just that; it was government trying to mandate a conversion,” O’Leary said.

The Shark Tank star explained that countries at last December’s U.N. climate change conference came to the conclusion that there’s no way to replace fossil fuels.

He said that countries can try to diversify their energy sources but there is “no path to energy security for any country, including in the U.S.” by replacing fossil fuels entirely.

“The basic problem with EVs is that the mid-market, where the majority of cars are sold, is they’re too expensive,” O’Leary said.

The average price of an electric vehicle is higher than the median income in the country, which turns them into a luxury purchase only available to the wealthy coastal elites.

In the Biden economy, Americans aren’t willing to buy an expensive electric car that has limited range and can’t run in the extreme cold or heat.

Joe Biden does election year pivot on electric vehicles

Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a tailpipe emissions regulation that would mandate two-thirds of all new vehicles sold to be electric by 2032.

To appease union autoworkers in Michigan and in other Rust Belt states that will decide the 2024 Election, he’s begun to pump the brakes on his electric vehicle mandates.

“In a concession to automakers and labor unions, the Biden administration intends to relax elements of one of its most ambitious strategies to combat climate change, limits on tailpipe emissions that are designed to get Americans to switch from gas-powered cars to electric vehicles,” The New York Times reported.

Biden delayed another emissions mandate until 2030 designed to ramp up electric vehicle purchases.

Billions of dollars and the heavy hand of government regulations can’t convince drivers to go electric.
