Donald Trump’s nearing the selection of a running mate.

This is the last big decision Trump will make before the general election.

And now Donald Trump made one important Vice-Presidential announcement.

Trump quizzed on who his running mate will be

Donald Trump pulled back the curtain on his running mate selection process in an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt.

Hewitt endorsed three swamp-aligned war mongers – former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR), and Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) – as well as former GOP Presidential candidate Doug Burgum to be Trump’s running mate.

“All right, Mr. President, let’s turn to Vice President. For the first time in years, the Vice President might actually matter, because people are going to weigh that into their calculation. It’s not going to get you a state, not going to get you a demographic. My short list is Cotton or Ernst or Mike Pompeo, or maybe Doug Burgum. Have you made, have you got down to a list that you can put out there of people you’re thinking about? Are those four on it?” Hewitt asked.

Trump lays out criteria for his running mate

Trump wisely didn’t confirm that any of those choices were on his shortlist – all favor more aid for Ukraine and none are considered America First conservatives – but Trump did tell Hewitt what he was looking for in a running mate.

Trump explained that his Vice President would have to be someone who won’t back down in the face of the fake investigations that Democrats and their foot soldiers in the weaponized justice system are sure to launch.

And Trump said his running mate pick would have to help him run up the score in the election, so there would be no doubt about who the winner is.

“I have. I mean, I have a list. I think really, you know, it’s a question I get so much. The first question is how do you take it? How do you do it with all these fake investigations? How do you do it? The second question I get is ‘Vice President, who’s it going to be? Who’s it going to be?’ […] One way you win is if you just swamp them, you know? You swamp them, there’s nothing they can do. And that’s what I think is going to happen with this election,” Trump declared.

Conservatives believe Senator J.D. Vance, former Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, or former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard would check those boxes for Trump.

Trump is expected to make his pick in June, so his supporters can expect Trump to increase the number of hints he drops about his eventual selection in the coming weeks.
