House Speaker Mike Johnson continues to walk on thin ice.

Johnson’s reaching the point of no return.

And Mike Johnson just stabbed Donald Trump in the back with this horrible betrayal.

Johnson sells out conservatives on illegal warrantless wiretapping

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) surrendered to Joe Biden and the Washington, D.C. Swamp by rolling out legislation to extend Section 702 of the FISA Act, which allows the government to spy on American citizens without a warrant.

The Deep State used the FISA courts to spy on Donald Trump’s campaign during the 2016 election.

And instead of outlawing a blatantly illegal spying program, Mike Johnson’s putting his seal of approval on allowing Democrats to target political opponents with the weaponized justice system’s unconstitutional warrantless wiretapping provision.

Johnson killed two key reforms that would have ended this illegal power grab.

First, Johnson stripped out a provision that allowed the Deep State to purchase Americans’ communications through third-party data brokers.

Congressman Warren Davidson (R-OH) slammed Johnson for allowing rogue Deep State operatives to run roughshod over the Constitution and spy on the American people.

“It’s disappointing to watch Speaker Johnson, who was a strong defender of essentially the same bills . . . when he was a member of the Judiciary Committee, now as Speaker essentially has crossed all the way over to the intel point of view,” Davidson stated.

Davidson said Johnson ran a stealth campaign to kill this reform provision to make it seem like he didn’t have his fingerprints on a scheme to empower Joe Biden’s FBI to spy on Trump supporters.

“They essentially want to concede that, ‘Okay, we allowed the debate to happen — but we are working very aggressively to make sure it doesn’t become law,’” Davidson added.

Johnson also blocked an amendment to the 702 reauthorization that would have required the government to obtain a warrant before spying on Americans.

“It seems the Speaker has a plan to tank that as well,” Davidson added.

“What it’s designed to do is to kill the entire reform effort,” Davidson concluded.

Johnson could cost himself the Speakership

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced a motion to vacate the chair and remove Johnson as Speaker of the House.

Greene only needs one other Republican to join her in order to have the votes to boot Johnson.

But Greene hasn’t yet called for the vote.

A social media post from Greene excoriated Johnson for his intolerable action of siding with the Swamp, and empowering Joe Biden’s weaponized government while continuing to refuse to lift a finger to stop the border crisis.

“And they will put pressure on all of us to vote for it by saying ‘an unknown number of terrorists are in America, we can’t allow another 9-11!’ Yet they do NOTHING to secure the border. If they really cared about our safety, border security would be the most important issue on both sides of the aisle. Warrantless spying is wrong. And actually they don’t need FISA to go after terrorists who have come across our border because the constitution does not apply to them, they aren’t citizens. FISA has been abused by our government to spy on hundreds of thousands of Americans, and I don’t trust our government to stop abusing FISA. I’ll go ahead and give you my vote, it’s a NO to FISA reauthorization without warrants,” Greene wrote.

Conservative frustration with Johnson is boiling over.

Johnson helping Joe Biden extend the illegal spying powers the Deep State used to target Donald Trump could push conservative Members of the House over the edge to support a motion to vacate and fire Johnson as Speaker of the House.
