Mariano Rivera played 19 seasons with the New York Yankees.

He’s the only player to be elected unanimously by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America into the Hall of Fame.

And now former Yankees superstar Mariano Rivera just came out swinging with these six words about Donald Trump.

Mariano Rivera is a legend among fans of the New York Yankees.

While many players often play for multiple teams throughout their careers, Rivera remained loyal to the Yankees through 19 seasons.

During his long career with the Yankees, Rivera put up numbers that landed him in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

He currently ranks first in MLB history with 652 saves and is the only player to be unanimously elected to the Hall of Fame.

But during an interview last Friday with WABC radio host Sid Rosenberg, Mariano Rivera made his 2024 Presidential endorsement.

And the Baseball Hall of Fame legend announced that he is all-in for Donald Trump.

“Having been given the Freedom of Honor medal from Donald Trump was amazing,” he said. “I mean, it was an amazing moment.”

“Receiving that medal was special,” he added.

But Rivera was not alone.

Rosenberg responded to Rivera by declaring his support for Donald Trump as well.

“I’m very afraid, Mariano, for New York and this world,” Rosenberg responded. “I’ve got a 19-year-old daughter, she’s gonna turn 20 on Sunday, and a 15-year-old son, and I think we need President Trump to win, or it could be very, very ugly.”

“Do you agree with that?” he asked Rivera.

Rivera said “I agree with that,” before adding that “President Trump, he’s my friend.”

“I can’t deny that,” he added. “Before he was the President, he was my friend,” he continued. “Because of that, I’m going to vote for him.”

As Rivera pointed out in the interview, he and Donald Trump have been friends for several years.

He previously served on Trump’s Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition Council and also received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

“Mariano Rivera has made extraordinary contributions to American sports, culture and society,” Trump said in 2019 when presenting him with the award. “He is the most dominant relief pitcher in the history of baseball.”

“And more than that, he has lived the American dream and shines as an example of American greatness for all to see,” Trump added.

During his interview with Rosenberg, Rivera made it clear that he’s “not a politician” and is “not going for the Right or the Left.”

“I’m always going for whoever is doing the right thing for the country,” he concluded.
