In January, Elizabeth Warren stood at the National Press Club and told Democrats to stop taking money from billionaires.
CNN just asked if she wanted Michael Bloomberg's $80 million.
And Elizabeth Warren flew into a rage when CNN asked her this one question about Michael Bloomberg.
Warren's Thirty-Second Meltdown on Live TV
CNN's Kaitlan Collins laid it out simply: Elon Musk gave $276 million to Republicans.
Michael Bloomberg is prepared to give Democrats $80 million.
Warren has spent years saying billionaires shouldn't be in politics.
So – do you want Bloomberg's help?

Warren's answer wasn't an answer.
It was a detour through Republican spending, Musk's donations, and a speech about the system being rigged.
"Look, what I want is to get this kind of money out of politics," Warren said. "Right now, the Republicans know that their only chance, as they see it, to be able to hang on to the House and the Senate and some of these governors' mansions is to be able to just drown people in money, to be able to run all the ads on TV, to lie, to cheat, and that there won't be any opportunity for Democrats to be able to respond."
Collins pressed harder.
Maine Senate candidate Troy Jackson had just sworn in a debate – in front of Maine voters – that no billionaires were funding his campaign.
His own financial disclosures then revealed at least four billionaire donors writing checks.
Warren's response to that caught-red-handed moment was telling.
"Really? That's where we're going to make the focus?" she shot back.
Yes, Senator.
That's exactly where the focus goes when your candidate lies to voters during a debate.
She's Been Running This Play Since 2019
This isn't new.
Warren has been cashing billionaire checks while lecturing everyone else about billionaire money for over a decade.

The New York Post reviewed her campaign finance records and found she accepted donations from at least 30 billionaires between 2011 and 2019 – Senate campaigns, presidential campaigns, all of it.
She sold "billionaire tears" mugs on her campaign website for as little as $25 while her treasurer was quietly meeting with wealthy donors behind closed doors.
Pete Buttigieg called her out for it at a 2019 primary debate – on national television – pointing out that her grassroots presidential campaign was being seeded with leftover cash from the very big-dollar fundraisers she now condemns.
Even a top Biden supporter – former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell – publicly asked "can you spell hypocrite?" after watching Warren's donor two-step.
The playbook is always the same.
Rail against billionaire money in public.
Cash the checks in private.
And when you get caught, pivot to talking about Republicans.
Warren Made This Promise in January and Broke It in October
At the National Press Club in January 2026, Warren told Democrats they had to "credibly demonstrate" they could fight a rigged system – which meant turning down exactly this kind of money.
Ten months later, she's on CNN explaining why Bloomberg's $80 million is actually fine, actually necessary, and you shouldn't be focused on it anyway.
The RNC put it plainly.
"Elizabeth Warren and Troy Jackson are both morally bankrupt hypocrites who want power at any cost," RNC spokesperson Kristen Cianci said.

That's not spin.
That's a transcript of what America just watched happen.
Warren has never had a real answer for how she squares the billionaire money she raises with the billionaire money she condemns.
She doesn't have one now either – just more outrage about Elon Musk, more deflection about Republicans, and more "billionaire tears" mugs collecting dust in a warehouse somewhere.
