Democrats could tell almost instantly that Joe Biden made a big mistake when he picked Kamala Harris as his running mate.
Biden only picked Harris for identity politics and not political reasons.
And Kamala Harris got hit with a brutal reality check that’s the final nail in her coffin.
Why Joe Biden is committed to running for re-election
Polls show Joe Biden is on track to lose the election to Donald Trump.
But Joe Biden felt compelled to run for many reasons.
One is because First Lady Jill Biden reportedly pushed Biden to run to prove all the naysayers wrong.
But secondly, Biden, as well as every other Democrat in America, knows if Biden doesn’t run that means handing the nomination to Harris, which they all know is political suicide.
There is no way the woke base of the Democrat Party will tolerate ripping the nomination away from the first black female Vice President and giving it to a straight white man like California Governor Gavin Newsom or Pennsylvania Governor Josh Stein.
No professional Democrat in their right mind thinks there is a realistic scenario under which Harris can win the election.
Harris’ sickly poll numbers
If Democrats needed any data to back up their hunches, they got a bushel full of bad news about Harris in the latest round of polling.
If Joe Biden steps aside, only a fringe minority thinks she could win the election.
Democrats barely have any confidence in Harris, as well.
“The POLITICO/Morning consult poll reveals that only a third of voters think it’s likely Harris would win an election were she to become the Democratic nominee, and just three of five Democrats believe she would prevail. A quarter of independents think she would win,” POLITICO exclusively reported.
One poll question that is always a stand-in for if the American people believe a candidate is ready to be President is if Americans believe that politician is a strong leader.
Kamala Harris fails this test as well.
“Forty-two percent of voters described her as a strong leader, including three-quarters of Democrats but only a third of independents,” POLITICO also reports.
Harris is also just as unpopular as Joe Biden.
“The poll shows that Harris shares the same poor ratings as Biden. Both are well underwater, Biden at 43 percent favorable and 54 unfavorable, Harris at 42 percent favorable and 52 percent unfavorable,” the POLITICO report continued.
And only 40 percent of Americans think she would do a good job as President, including just 34 percent of independents.
Why Kamala Harris is so unpopular
Kamala Harris is the face of failure on immigration as Harris served as Biden’s border czar.
And Harris’ signature cackle is the auditory equivalent of biting on tinfoil.
Harris has no professional political accomplishments to fall back on.
Harris is also personally unlikeable.
That’s a toxic combination for a politician.
