Daily Wire founder Ben Shapiro created one of the juggernauts in conservative media.

But now Shapiro has conservatives wondering what is going on.

That’s because Ben Shapiro picked one fight with Marjorie Taylor Greene that he will live to regret.

Ben Shapiro comes to the defense of the GOP establishment

Ben Shapiro delivered an odd monologue during a recent episode of his show where he came down on the side of the Washington, D.C. Swamp in the fights over funding the war in Ukraine and removing Mike Johnson (R-LA) as Speaker of the House.

Shapiro attacked Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) for introducing the motion to vacate the chair to boot Johnson as being a frivolous exercise in trying to make herself more famous.

“The Speaker is supposed to be able to do vote counting. The Speaker is supposed to be able to negotiate. Mike Johnson should nuke this dumb rule right now. And if he requires Democrats to help him do it, then he should get Democrats to help him do it,” Shapiro stated. “And if you don’t like that, you should blame Marjorie Taylor Greene, who’s the one who decided to bring the latest quixotic attempt to take down the Speaker of the House for no reason other than to get her name on TV? There is no logic here. There is no rationale here. There is no reason here. This rule needs to die.”

But Greene explained the reasons behind wanting to fire Johnson.

Greene said Johnson surrendered to Joe Biden in the last round of spending negotiations and agreed to a $1.2 trillion bill that funded transgender ideology, abortion-on-demand, and open borders without getting anything in return.

Greene also warned Johnson that if he brings a bill to the floor that funds the war in Ukraine while ignoring the crisis at the southern border, it could also trigger a vote on dumping him as Speaker of the House.

Shapiro sides with the warmongers

Shapiro then attacked Greene and other America First conservatives who think the government’s main priority should be securing the United States’ border as opposed to Ukraine’s.

In his monologue, Shapiro demanded to know what was the American interest in cutting off funding for Ukraine.

“The question that I have for many of the Republicans who are opposed to Ukraine aid is: What is the objection to the Ukraine aid? Not in the amount, that’s a reasonable objection. Not in the verification procedures as to where the aid goes, that’s a reasonable objection. My question is: If you are a person who full scale believes that we ought to withdraw aid from Ukraine, what is the American, hard, realpolitik national interest in watching Russia just take the country? That’s my question,” Shapiro ranted.

But conservatives like Greene want to know what is the interest for Americans to fund an endless war in Ukraine.

Other questions include what is the strategy for an end game?

Is Shapiro calling for the United States to support a Ukrainian offensive to restore the country’s pre-2014 borders and retake Crimea, a province that Russia considers part of its territory?

Everyone agrees a new round of funding won’t change the conditions on the ground, so do Shapiro and other warmongers support just shoveling more good money after bad to – at best – maintain a stalemate?

The longer this war goes on, the greater the risk of nuclear conflict over a country 99 percent of Americans can’t find on a map.
