China taking advantage of weakness in the White House
China is becoming more aggressive after they sensed President Joe Biden’s weakness.
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) noted that China has ramped up its surveillance operations in the United States during the Biden administration on his podcast Verdict.
“There were multiple Chinese spy balloons, and the Biden administration didn’t bother to tell anyone about them,” Cruz said. “Until finally some ranchers in Montana spotted this one and they got outed on the internet. Were it not for that, we wouldn’t even know about this one.”
Biden refused to shoot the Chinese spy balloon down as it drifted across the country until it reached the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of South Carolina.
“They kept it secret that the Chinese had been sending spy balloons over U.S. airspace, over U.S. military bases,” Cruz continued. “They’re engaged in active espionage against us.”
China is buying up land near American military bases
A bombshell report from the New York Post revealed that China has bought farmland near 19 military bases throughout the country.
The Fufeng Group, a Chinese agribusiness conglomerate, bought 370 acres of farmland in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to build a milling facility.
Grand Forks Air Force Base, home to sensitive drone technology, was only 15 miles away from the proposed facility.
Fufeng has connections to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which raised concerns over the facility being used for an espionage operation.
Grand Forks City Council rejected Fufeng’s permits after public outcry last year.
Cruz warned that China was using farmland near the military bases as a staging ground for the surveillance of them.
“The Chinese are buying up land and they’re claiming they’re buying it up for farming or ranching, but it allows them to set up reconnaissance sites that allows them to install tracking technology, to use radar, to use infrared scanning, and to view the bases, and from there, to attempt to fly drones over the bases and engage in surveillance,” Cruz explained.
Republican-controlled states like Florida have banned Chinese nationals and entities from buying property near military bases.
But the federal government hasn’t taken action yet.
“And I gotta say, it is insane that we are allowing the Chinese to do this, this should be illegal, we should not allow the Chinese Communists to buy land anywhere near our bases,” Cruz remarked.
Cruz explained that power brokers in the Democrat Party – Big Tech, Wall Street, colleges, and Hollywood – all have a cozy relationship with China.
That’s why Biden and Congressional Democrats have been hesitant to stop China from being farmland near military bases.
Cruz added that “today’s Democrat Party is structurally pro-China.”
