The British Royal Family underwent a year of turmoil.

Now all hell is breaking loose.

And Princess Kate gave this shocking update about her future in the Royal Family.

Princess Kate gives health update

Princess of Wales Kate Middleton delivered the first update to the public about her health since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March.

In a post to Instagram, Middleton thanked the outpouring of support from the public for helping her and her husband, Prince William, navigate this difficult time.

“I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times,” Middleton began.

Middleton revealed she was undergoing chemotherapy, which contained its ups and downs.

“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” Middleton added.

Middleton explained the toll the treatment took on her while also making sure the public understood she was making progress.

“On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well,” Middleton continued.

Middleton also shared with the public that she would undergo a few months of chemotherapy but that she was making enough progress on the road to recovery that she was able to begin work from home.

“My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months,” Middleton remarked.

“On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home,” Middleton wrote.

Middleton announces first public appearance

Middleton hasn’t been seen in public since December.

That initial vanishing from view led to the avalanche of conspiracy theories in the media that forced her to come forward and reveal her cancer diagnosis in March.

Middleton appeared in public for the first time at Trooping the Colour – a national holiday in Britain that takes place every June to honor the Monarch’s birthday.

“I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet,” Middleton declared prior to the event.

King Charles III – who also is battling cancer – appeared with Princess Kate as a show of unity for the House of Windsor.

The last year has seen the Royal Family’s life upended by medical hardship and the drama inflicted by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Harry and Meghan are persona non grata in the Royal Family.

Neither King Charles nor Princess Kate wants anything to do with either one while they navigate their medical treatment.

And the message King Charles and Princess Kate hoped to send to the public by standing side by side in public for the first time in public is that they are ready to try and move on to whatever sense of normalcy that applies to life as a member of the British Royal Family.
