Bill Clinton had his fair share of scandals involving women.

Now he has a new headache involving one of the most famous women in the world.

And one Hollywood starlet revealed this shocking personal encounter with Bill Clinton.

Gwyneth Paltrow reveals Bill Clinton slept through a screening of her movie Emma

During an appearance on Sean Evans’ Hot Ones – a show where Evans interviews a celebrity while they eat increasingly spicier chicken wings – Paltrow recounted how Bill Clinton fell asleep during a White House screening of Emma, the 1996 film Paltrow starred in that was an adaption of the 1815 Jane Austen novel of the same name.

“Is it true that Bill Clinton passed out asleep during a White House screening of Emma?” Evans asked.

Paltrow confirmed this was the case.

“True. He was snoring right in front of me. I was like, wow, I guess this going to be a real hit movie,” Paltrow responded.

“But it was, so f*** you, Bill Clinton!” Paltrow added.

Emma was a box office and critical success earning $37 million against only a $7 million budget and capturing Academy Awards for Best Costume Design and Best Original or Comedy Score.

Paltrow was dating Brad Pitt at the time and the movie was her big breakthrough in becoming an A-list Hollywood star.

Easy to see why Clinton fell asleep

Emma is the type of movie that would put a guy to sleep.

Jane Austen is known for her novels exploring the love lives of the English upper crust.

A film about women in period dresses and guys in poofy shirts is the perfect cure for insomnia.

Emma is about a young woman who fancies herself a match maker but nearly destroys her own romantic relationship as well as that of her friend before everything all works out in the end.

Austen said of the title character that “I am going to take a heroine whom no one but myself will much like.”

Emma came on the heels of the film that put Paltrow on the map where she played Brad Pitt’s doomed wife in David Fincher’s psychological thriller Se7en.

If they screened Se7en at the White House, no one would have fallen asleep as that film’s fast paced, sleek production style, completely original motivation for the film’s villain, and jaw-dropping ending turned a film with a $34 million budget into a $327 million classic, which became the seventh highest grossing film of 1998.

In the Hot Ones interview, Paltrow couldn’t confirm a rumor that a prosthetic version of her head was the unseen object in the box delivered to Pitt’s detective character at the end of the movie that causes him to execute Kevin Spacey’s serial killer character to achieve wrath and thus completing the villain’s goal of carrying out seven killings with each one representing the seven deadly sins.
