Greg Gutfeld is becoming one of the biggest stars at Fox News.

As a result, Gutfeld landed a major interview with Donald Trump.

And Greg Gutfeld got blindsided by what Trump said about this former friend.

Howard Stern turns on Trump

Howard Stern used to be known as the “king of all media.”

Stern invented the morning shock jock radio format and became a radio pioneer through raunchy celebrity interviews that made headlines for their sexual confessions, his cast of sidekick characters, and his inventive comedy bits.

These days, Stern is a conventional woke liberal who hid in his Long Island compound for two years over COVID and conducts groveling interviews with Democrats like Joe Biden.

Stern recently made headlines by declaring that not only did he hate Donald Trump, Stern hated all of Trump’s supporters.

“I hate the people who vote for him. I think they’re stupid. I do. I’ll be honest with you, I have no respect for you,” Stern declared.

Trump was a frequent Stern guest in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Greg Gutfeld wanted Trump’s unique perspective on Howard Stern when Gutfeld interviewed Trump for his Fox News show.

Gutfeld floated the theory that Trump becoming President made him more famous than Stern and that drives Stern nuts.

“[M]y theory is that famous people don’t like it when their fame is put in proper perspective, when it’s dwarfed by somebody with more fame. So, they prefer to be on the hierarchy of fame. They want to be on top. I notice a lot of these guys that’s — it’s an emotional response to the fact that you’re bigger, more well-known. Does that make sense?” Gutfeld stated.

Trump agreed, saying Stern went woke.

“When I watch, I know some of them. And like Howard, I was on Howard Stern Show as much as anybody. And he was great at that time, and then he went woke,” Trump replied.

Howard Stern learns the lesson of going woke

Trump noted that he was a frequent guest on Stern’s show and that his interviews were often featured on the E! Network’s “best of” nightly show, but that Stern lost his mind when Trump became President and the cultural pressure of the Left caused him to snap.

And Trump added that since Stern left terrestrial radio to take his show exclusively to satellite SiriusXM, he no longer has the cultural impact that he used to.

“And since he’s gone woke his ratings have gone down the tubes, and he sort of went anti-Trump for a couple of reasons. But I was on his show a lot. He has a ‘best of.’ Did you ever see the ‘best of’? ‘Best of Howard Stern’? I don’t want to promote it necessarily, but . . . [laughter] and I was there for just about all of them, the ‘best of.’ We had good shows. He was good. But he’s changed. And, you know, he doesn’t do the ratings anymore,” Trump added.

Gutfeld agreed, calling Stern a has-been.

“No, he doesn’t. Doesn’t have to. He’s almost finished,” Gutfeld stated.
