Geraldo Rivera was one of the biggest voices for the Left at Fox News.

But even he can see when his own side goes too far.

And Geraldo Rivera dropped the hammer on MSNBC for this unexpected reason.

Former The Five co-host Geraldo Rivera left Fox News after serving as the spokesman for the Left on the show’s panel discussion.

He recently weighed in on the biggest controversy in the news media, the hiring and abrupt firing of former Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel by NBC News.

McDaniel fired by NBC News

After she left her job as RNC Chairwoman, McDaniel was hired to be a contributor on MSNBC and NBC News.

But a revolt broke out among the personalities at the networks that resulted in NBCU News Group Chairman Cesar Conde firing her.

MSNBC and NBC personalities including Rachel Maddow, Chuck Todd, Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, Lawrence O’Donnell, and Jen Psaki threw a collective hissy fit that they would be sharing the air with a Republican who supported Trump.

The RINOs the networks currently trot out, such as Never-Trumpers like Charlie Sykes and former RNC Chair Michael Steele, are there to bash Republicans.

Republicans who appear on MSNBC are supposed to confirm the belief of the network’s audience that the GOP is beyond the pale under former President Donald Trump.

Geraldo unloads on MSNBC for running off McDaniel

Rivera – now a correspondent at NewsNation – appeared on NewsNation’s Cuomo where he ripped MSNBC’s personalities for getting McDaniel fired.

“I think that Rachel Maddow is guilty of malignant wokeism,” Rivera said. “God did not anoint her the arbiter of who was appropriate for her network to hire or what their point of view is.”

Maddow celebrated the firing on MSNBC host Joy Reid’s show.

That’s because she and the rest of the network don’t want the perspective of someone who supports Trump on the network.

“I think that there is an arrogance about the whole notion that the 75 million people that voted for Donald Trump are all out to lunch, that they don’t have the right to make a selection,” Rivera continued. “But there are a lot of people who do not agree, that agree with Ronna McDaniel, who is the most intimate insider NBC could ever have hired. It was a brilliant idea.”

Now it’s business as usual for the crew at MSNBC to continue to claim that President Joe Biden hasn’t lost a step and to freak out about Trump.

“Instead, you had this cabal of aging superstars at the network who insisted that this person was somehow inappropriate. Says who and according to whom?” Rivera asked. “It really is outrageous. This is censorship!”

In the end, MSNBC confirmed the network is hostile territory for anyone who supports Donald Trump.
