Donald Trump pulled off the greatest comeback in American political history.

He even left his biggest critics stunned by his historic achievement.

And a CNN star shouted two words on air about Donald Trump that shocked everyone.

CNN shocked by Donald Trump’s performance in the election

President-elect Donald Trump won the election by turning in the best performance for a Republican candidate since the 1988 Election with 312 electoral votes.

He became the first Republican since former President George W. Bush in the 2004 Election to win the popular vote.

CNN senior data analyst Harry Enten was shocked at the gains Trump made with various groups of voters compared to the 2020 Election.

“I think the breadth of the improvement that Donald Trump had — holy Toledo. Alright, Trump gained ground in 49 states and the District of Columbia compared to 2020,” Enten said. “I went back through the record books — when was the last time a party gained in so many different places? You have to go all the way back to 1992 when Bill Clinton improved upon Michael Dukakis’ performance in 49 states plus the District of Columbia.”

Kamala didn’t flip a single county that Trump won in the 2020 Election.

Enten noted that Washington state was the only place on the map that Trump didn’t improve his performance from the last election.

Donald Trump turned in a historic performance with multiple demographics

“Again, holy Toledo. It’s just like, oh my goodness gracious,” Enten exclaimed. “These are the types of groups that you would never have thought that Donald Trump would’ve gained so much support among eight years ago when he first won against Hillary Clinton.”

The President-elect made major inroads with traditionally Democrat leaning groups like black, young, and Hispanic voters.

“Trump’s was the best GOP showing among 18 to 29-year-olds in 20 years,” Enten explained. “You have to go all the way back to 2004. How about among black voters? The best performance for a Republican candidate for president in 48 years since Gerald Ford back in 1976.”

Enten noted that Trump likely turned in the best performance with Hispanics for a Republican candidate in history.

“And among Hispanic voters, the exit polls go only back since 1972, but Donald Trump’s performance on Tuesday was the best for a Republican presidential candidate in exit poll history. He literally goes all the way back through history and breaks history,” Enten explained. “This is what we’re talking about, Kate Bolduan, groups that you never thought that Donald Trump would do well among, even for a Republican candidate, that is what he did.”

Enten said that Trump managed to break apart the Democrat coalition in this election.

“We knew that Donald Trump was going to do well with rural voters. I think it was surprising how well he did with rural voters,” Enten said. “Look at this margin, we’re looking at a 27-point win for Donald Trump among rural voters. That is a double-digit improvement from how he did with them back in 2020.”

Donald Trump built a winning coalition that could signal that a political realignment is underway with demographics like Hispanics becoming up in play voters.
