Tim Walz has been a disaster since he was picked for the Democrat ticket.

His problems are about to get much worse.

And Tim Walz got some bad news from James Comer that had him slamming the panic button.

James Comer goes after info about Tim Walz’s ties to communist China

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has a strange relationship with China dating back to 1989.

He admitted that he’d traveled to the communist nation more than 30 times in his life before trying to backtrack after his Chinese ties came under scrutiny.

Walz took high school students on summer trips to China when he was a teacher, which were sometimes paid for by the communist government.

The Minnesota Governor praised the communist economy for its fairness and one of his former students who accompanied him to China accused him of being a Maoist.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) opened an investigation into Walz’s ties to the Communist Chinese Party (CCP).

Comer subpoenaed records from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) about Walz’s connection to the CCP.

A whistleblower told the Kentucky lawmaker’s office that Homeland Security employees have a group chat called “NST NFT Bi-Weekly Sync” that “contains information about Governor Walz that is relevant to the Committee’s investigation.”

“The Committee has also learned that further relevant information regarding Governor Walz has been memorialized in both classified and unclassified documents in the control of DHS,” Comer wrote in a subpoena letter.

Chinese infiltration of the United States

Comer warned that the CCP could try to compromise American politicians for their advantage.

“The Committee’s investigation of the CCP – begun long before Governor Walz was elevated to be the vice-presidential candidate for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris – seeks to understand the extent of the CCP’s infiltration and influence campaign and to identify legislative reforms to combat CCP political warfare targeting prominent Americans for elite capture,” Comer stated.

Walz’s interest to the CCP could predate his political career because of his service in the Army National Guard as a senior noncommissioned officer.

He had a security clearance as part of his job with the National Guard, which would make him an attractive target to the CCP.

“In particular, if a state governor and major political party’s nominee for Vice President of the United States has been a witting or unwitting participant in the CCP’s efforts to weaken our nation, this would strongly suggest that there are alarming weaknesses in the federal government’s effort to defend the United States from the CCP’s political warfare that must be urgently addressed,” Comer explained.

Representative Jim Banks (R-IN) wrote to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin about whether Walz followed foreign travel reporting requirements when he was a National Guard member with a security clearance.

Military members with a security clearance have to file reports when they travel abroad to countries such as China.

Tim Walz is already on the defensive about his relationship with China.

He’s tried to change his story to make it seem like his involvement with the communist nation is far less than what he previously claimed.

Clearly the Minnesota Governor is nervous about the conversation surrounding his relationship with China now that he’s under the white-hot spotlight of a national campaign.
