Foreign adversaries have found their perfect American puppet in New York City.
The Democrat Socialist frontrunner just got exposed taking thousands in illegal campaign cash from overseas.
And Zohran Mamdani got caught red-handed taking foreign cash for one reason that will infuriate you.
Foreign Cash Floods Socialist’s Campaign Just Weeks Before Election
Campaign finance records reveal that New York mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani collected close to $13,000 from overseas donors, raising serious legal questions about his funding sources.¹
Records show that 170 contributions out of more than 54,000 total donations came from foreign addresses, violating laws that restrict campaign contributions to U.S. citizens and permanent residents only.²
Among the questionable contributions was a $500 check from his mother-in-law, Bariah Dardari, a pediatrician working in Dubai.³ The campaign returned her money within four days, suggesting they knew about the violation immediately.⁴
Additional foreign donors span multiple countries including Germany, Australia, and Canada, with individual contributions reaching as high as $2,100.⁵
Despite being caught, 79 foreign contributions remain unreturned by the Mamdani campaign as of this week.⁶
The democrat socialist’s response when confronted? His campaign told the New York Post they would "of course return any donations that are not in compliance with CFB law."⁷ In other words, they got caught and now they’re scrambling to cover their tracks.
Trump Administration Already Investigating Foreign Election Interference
President Trump’s administration had already launched a comprehensive investigation into these exact violations months before Mamdani got caught.
The April 2025 presidential directive specifically targeted foreign "straw donor" schemes that have been corrupting American elections.⁸
Congressional investigators discovered that ActBlue, the Democrats’ primary fundraising platform, had detected more than 20 major fraud operations in recent years – with nearly half connected to foreign sources.⁹
In just one month during the 2024 cycle, the platform caught over 200 donations coming from foreign IP addresses using untraceable prepaid cards.¹⁰ Even worse, investigators found that ActBlue instructed its staff to approve suspicious contributions rather than reject them.¹¹
Federal law explicitly prohibits foreign nationals from directly or indirectly making contributions in connection with any federal, state, or local elections.¹² Violators can face hefty fines and criminal charges, including up to five years imprisonment for violations over $25,000 in a calendar year.¹³
Socialist Candidate Emerges as Foreign Adversaries’ Perfect Target
The 33-year-old Mamdani represents everything foreign adversaries want to see in American government: a Democrat Socialists of America member who has promised to "arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu" if he visits New York City.¹⁴
He’s pledged to freeze rent for all stabilized tenants, make city buses fare-free, open city-run grocery stores, and raise the minimum wage to $30 per hour by 2030.¹⁵
Mamdani has been a member of DSA since 2017 and serves in the organization’s "State Socialists in Office" bloc.¹⁶
He won an upset victory over Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary, powered by endorsements from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders.¹⁷
The victory was described by NPR as an "astonishing upset" that could mark the beginning of "the Democrats’ Tea Party moment."¹⁸
Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa had been warning about foreign money flowing to Mamdani for months, calling on the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate "dark money" being funneled through super PACs.¹⁹
"Foreign countries know you don’t have to go to war against America," Sliwa told the New York Post. "All you gotta do is manipulate the election."²⁰
Campaign Finance Hypocrisy Exposed as Public Matching Funds Flow
Here’s what makes this even more outrageous: Mamdani collected $12.7 million in taxpayer-funded matching funds while simultaneously breaking campaign finance laws with foreign money.²¹
American taxpayers were essentially subsidizing a campaign that was violating federal election statutes.
Mayor Eric Adams, who suspended his own re-election campaign, called out the blatant double standard.
"My campaign was denied matching funds over baseless allegations, while Mamdani’s campaign received millions even after $13,000 in illegal foreign donations were uncovered," Adams posted on social media.²² "The bias is undeniable."²³
The Campaign Finance Board’s selective enforcement becomes even more outrageous when you consider the timing.
Most of the foreign donations poured into Mamdani’s campaign during the weeks leading up to the Democrat primary, suggesting these illegal funds may have played a critical role in his upset victory over more established candidates.²⁴
Here’s What Foreign Adversaries Really Want
You want to know why foreign governments are bankrolling a socialist mayor in America’s largest city? It’s not complicated.
They’ve figured out something Democrat Party leadership refuses to acknowledge: the fastest way to destroy American capitalism is from the inside, one city hall at a time.
Mamdani isn’t just another liberal Democrat who wants higher taxes and more regulations. He’s an open socialist who wants to fundamentally transform how New York City operates.
His platform reads like a wishlist for foreign adversaries who want to see American cities collapse under the weight of their own radical policies.
Consider what foreign donors are buying: a mayor who wants to freeze rents (destroying property values), eliminate bus fares (bankrupting public transit), open government-run grocery stores (destroying private businesses), and raise minimum wages to unsustainable levels (forcing businesses to flee).²⁵
Every single one of these policies has been tried in socialist countries around the world. The results are always the same: economic collapse and human misery.
The foreign connection isn’t accidental. When your mother-in-law in Dubai is cutting you campaign checks, that tells you everything about where your loyalties lie.²⁶
When professionals in Germany, Australia, and Canada are funding your campaign, they’re not doing it out of love for New York City.²⁷ They’re making an investment in America’s destruction.
This comes at a time when our intelligence agencies have documented unprecedented foreign interference in American elections.
Since Charlie Kirk’s assassination in September, we’ve seen how far radicals will go to silence conservative voices.²⁸ Now they’re not just trying to silence us – they’re trying to buy our city governments outright.
The Stakes Couldn’t Be Higher for American Democracy
If Mamdani wins this election, he’ll become the first openly socialist mayor of New York City in modern history, partially funded by foreign money that should have been rejected from day one. The precedent this sets is terrifying.
Every foreign adversary watching this scandal knows exactly what lesson to draw: American socialist politicians will take your money and ask questions later.
The barriers protecting our elections from foreign interference are collapsing, and Democrat Party leadership is either too corrupt or too incompetent to stop it.
The Trump administration’s investigation into foreign "straw donor" schemes takes on new urgency when you see cases like this playing out in real time.
We’re not talking about complex money laundering operations that require months of investigation to uncover.
We’re talking about foreign nationals writing checks directly to American political campaigns – and getting away with it because the candidate agrees with their anti-American agenda.
This is exactly the kind of corruption that President Trump warned us about when he launched his investigation into foreign election interference.
The only difference is that instead of targeting federal elections, foreign adversaries have figured out they can buy American cities one socialist candidate at a time.
The November 4th election in New York City isn’t just about choosing a mayor. It’s about whether American democracy can withstand the coordinated assault from foreign-backed socialists who view our election laws as suggestions rather than requirements.
Every patriotic New Yorker needs to understand what’s at stake here.
