Whoopi Goldberg Screamed at a 28 Year Old Mom for Telling Women to Have Babies

The View spent three decades telling women they could do anything they wanted.

Then a young mom said she wanted a family – and the screaming started.

Now Whoopi Goldberg and her co-hosts are furious at a 28-year-old for daring to say out loud what millions of American women already believe.

What Isabel Brown Actually Said

Isabel Brown stepped onto the CPAC stage in Grapevine, Texas last week and delivered the kind of speech that used to be called common sense.

She told a crowd of conservatives it was "high time" to start encouraging young women to get married, have children, and build families.

She said deleting dating apps, going off birth control, and saying "I do" at the altar are choices that ultimately drive the political policies that will save the country.

She is a 28-year-old Daily Wire host with over 1.2 million Instagram followers and a 1-year-old baby at home.

She said family is the greatest threat to evil in postmodern culture.

The View reacted like she had announced a plan to burn the country down.

Whoopi Loses Her Mind on Live Television

Whoopi Goldberg opened the segment by saying she didn't even know how to explain what Brown had said.

Then she screamed "what!" repeatedly at a clip of a young mother encouraging other women to have children.

Sara Haines declared it "the stupidest, most old-fashioned thing" and accused Brown of reducing women's worth to their reproductive capacity.

Sunny Hostin called it "reckless" to suggest people have children in today's economy – then cited a figure claiming a two-income household needs $402,000 a year for childcare to be considered affordable.

Guest host Whitney Cummings mocked Brown for having a 1-year-old, saying she should "wait 'til your kid is up and walking" before handing out parenting advice.

Ana Navarro asked where the men were in all of this.

Brown fired back within hours.

"I'd like to thank the women of The View for showing their truest, darkest colors today," she posted online.

"They're literally shrieking like demons at the thought of encouraging young women to have children."

She was not wrong about the shrieking.

Why This Matters Beyond a Cable TV Fight

America's fertility rate just hit a record low of 1.6 births per woman – well below the 2.1 needed to maintain a stable population.

Forty-one states set all-time fertility lows in 2023.

Young couples now plan to have fewer than two children, down from 2.3 a decade ago.

Japan is watching its towns empty out. South Korea's fertility rate has collapsed to 0.75. The United States is on the same trajectory.

President Trump's administration has recognized this as a national crisis and proposed baby bonuses, tax incentives, and direct payments to families to reverse the collapse.

And The View just spent a full episode attacking the one message that could actually move the needle.

Not government programs. Not tax credits. Culture – the belief that family is worth choosing, worth celebrating, worth sacrificing for.

That is what Whoopi Goldberg screamed at.

Brown called the segment "propaganda" and she's right.

The results of fifty years of that ideology are in. Women are lonelier, birth rates are collapsing, and The View is still on television treating it as progress.

Haines insisted the women's movement was always about giving women the freedom to choose their own path.

Then the entire panel spent twenty minutes attacking a young woman for the path she chose.

The irony didn't register.

The View cannot tolerate the possibility that traditional choices lead to happy lives.

Because if young women start looking at Isabel Brown – married, faith-driven, mother of a 1-year-old – and thinking "I want that," the entire fifty-year cultural project falls apart.

That's what the screaming was actually about.
