Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is officially running for President.
Haley was hoping to use Donald Trump’s age as a negative talking point against the former President.
But Whoopi Goldberg just reminded Nikki Haley of one brutal truth that made Donald Trump laugh out loud.
Nikki Haley is a RINO with a long history of flip-flopping and changing her position on the issues based on what the latest poll numbers show.
As Governor of South Carolina, Haley sold out conservatives and defeated a bill that would have prevented biological males from using the girl’s locker rooms and bathrooms at government schools.
She voted for massive tax hikes as a member of the State Legislature and crafted one of the largest tax increases in state history as Governor.
Aside from flip-flopping on the issues, Haley also has a history of speaking out of both sides of her mouth.
In February of 2016, she refused to endorse Trump because she said he is “everything a Governor doesn’t want in a President.”
But in July of 2016, Haley answered “of course” when asked if she would be endorsing Donald Trump.
Then, in November of 2016, Donald Trump nominated Nikki Haley to serve as Ambassador to the United Nations, a position she held from January of 2017 to December of 2018.
And in April of 2021, Haley told the Associated Press that she would support Trump if he ran for President again saying, “I would not run if President Trump ran, and I would talk to him about it.”
However, despite promising not to run if Trump ran, Nikki Haley went back on her word and announced her candidacy last week at a rally in South Carolina.
And Nikki Haley immediately started punching at Donald Trump with underhanded comments about his age.
Haley’s theme centered on electing a “new generation” and specifically called for competency tests for any Presidential candidate over the age of 75.
But on Monday’s edition of ABC’s The View, Whoopi Goldberg reminded Nikki Haley of one brutal truth regarding her using Trump’s age against him.
“You’re not a new generation,” Goldberg said about Haley. “You’re 51,” she continued, before asking “what are you talking about?”
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin tried to defend Haley by pointing out that 51 is young “compared to D.C.”
However, Goldberg stood by her comments.
“It’s not a new generation,” she said. “She may be younger than most of those people, but her rhetoric is the same. She’s saying the same BS.”
Goldberg concluded by saying she is “sick of people talking about age because if you can do the job, I don’t care how old you are.”
Of course, Goldberg is only saying this because of Joe Biden’s age and declining mental faculties.
The last thing Goldberg and other leftists in the media want the debate centered around is the candidate’s age.
