Tucker Carlson is the most influential voice in conservative media.

That’s not a position he takes lightly.

And Tucker Carlson apologized to J.D. Vance for making this surprising mistake.

Tucker Carlson reveals a regret from his time at Fox News

Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) has faced an onslaught of attacks and hoaxes from the media after he became former President Donald Trump’s running mate.

An appearance by Vance on Tucker Carlson’s former Fox News show in 2021, where he made a quip about “childless cat ladies” was dug up by the media and led to a feeding frenzy.

Carlson was asked about the relentless attacks on the Republican Vice Presidential candidate during an appearance on former Fox News host Megyn Kelly’s SiriusXM show.

“What do you make though of the media pile-on against JD started with an interview he gave to you a couple years ago with the childless cat ladies comment,” Kelly said. “All the stuff that they’ve been doing to him has been particularly nasty. So what do you think of it?”

“The childless cat lady thing I felt bad about,” Carlson admitted. “I’m pretty sure I haven’t looked at the tape again, but I’m pretty sure I egged him on to say something like that, and I think it’s a mean thing. I think I’m responsible for that, and I have a tendency to get way over my skis and get mean, and I regret that.”

Vance made the comment to mock the increasingly anti-family policies pursued by Democrats.

Tucker Carlson turns attacks on Vance on their head

Democrats and their media allies launched a coordinated campaign to call Vance “weird.”

Carlson compared the Ohio Senator to Minnesota Democrat Governor Tim Walz, who led the “weird” attacks.

“He’s like, one of the only politicians I know – and I know a lot of politicians – who has a happy, normal marriage,” Carlson explained. “He actually cares what his wife thinks… He has a normal, happy marriage.”

He said that having a happy family life is a foreign concept to most within the ruling class.

“And I don’t want to be mean. I’ve already said I don’t want to be mean,” Carlson said. “But like that, that Walz guy is a creep. I’m just telling you that as someone who went to boarding school in the 80s, like I know exactly who that guy is. And I’m sorry. It’s just, you know, I hope I’m wrong. I don’t think I am.”

Carlson recalled running into creepy guys like Walz when he attended a New England boarding school in the 1980s.

“There’s something wrong with that guy,” Carlson stated. “He’s a weirdo. And you can tell watching him. And I’m sorry, I just lived long enough that I know that your gut level perceptions are rooted in truth.”

“I’ve gotten many things wrong, like the details are unknown to me, but I look at that guy and I’m like, You’re a weirdo. And everyone’s like, ‘Oh, he’s so normal.’ No, not normal, sorry,” he added.

Democrats are leading a scorched earth campaign against J.D. Vance for being Donald Trump’s running mate.
