Miami is about to make more money than most cities see in a decade.

The city is stacking championship events like a casino dealer on a hot streak.

And Miami's World Cup 2026 economic impact just hit $3 billion as Trump attended the championship at Hard Rock Stadium.

Trump Attends College Football Playoff Championship at Hard Rock Stadium

President Donald Trump attended the College Football Playoff National Championship at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Monday night as Indiana took on Miami.

The White House confirmed Trump's attendance along with Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The championship game alone is projected to inject $264 million into the local economy.

But that's just the opening act for Miami's unprecedented sports lineup in 2026.

The city is hosting nearly a dozen major sporting events this year with a combined economic impact exceeding $3 billion.

Formula 1's Miami Grand Prix has already proven it can deliver massive returns.

The race generated over $1 billion in economic impact across its first three years since debuting in 2022.

Miami is hosting seven FIFA World Cup matches later this year including a quarterfinal and the bronze medal match.

Former Miami Mayor Francis Suarez told Fox News Digital the World Cup will rake in an estimated $1.5 billion by itself.

That's nearly triple the impact of Super Bowl LIV.

The 2026 lineup includes the Orange Bowl and NHL Winter Classic that have already kicked off the year.

Coming attractions include the World Baseball Classic, the Miami Grand Prix, the Miami Open tennis tournament, and the PGA Tour's Trump National Doral event.

Inter Miami's new stadium debuts this year with the team Lionel Messi helped put on the global map.

NASCAR is even returning to Homestead-Miami Speedway for the Cup Series finale in November.

Breakwater Hospitality Group CEO Emi Guerra told Fox News Digital that Miami couldn't ask for better timing.

"It's coming in at a time of year that Miami needs the business," Guerra explained.

"I believe hotels will be ready to go. I believe restaurants and bars and anything that has to do with hospitality, we're ready to go."

Miami isn't just hosting random events scattered across the calendar.

The city engineered a systematic assault on every major sports market from January through December.

Trump's PGA Tour event at his Doral resort is projected to generate $100 million to $200 million in economic activity alone.

Property values within a five-mile radius of golf tournaments typically appreciate 15% to 300% based on historical data from events like the Masters.

World Cup 2026 Economic Impact Projected at $1.5 Billion for Miami

The FIFA World Cup represents Miami's true economic jackpot beyond all the other events combined.

The Boston Consulting Group projects each host city will see $90 million to $480 million in net financial gain from the World Cup.

Miami is positioned at the high end of that range given its international infrastructure and tourism capacity.

The city welcomed 28 million visitors last year who spent $22 billion.

The World Cup will dwarf those numbers when soccer fans descend on South Florida for seven matches.

Suarez noted Miami will host the G-20 summit after the World Cup wraps up.

"So it's gonna be the largest and biggest and most significant event in the world at that time," Suarez said.

"We're very accustomed to having large events."

Real estate investors have already started positioning capital to capture the sports tourism boom.

Foreign buyers purchased 52% of new construction homes in Miami during 2025.

Luxury condo prices jumped 11.4% year-over-year in the third quarter of 2025.

Property values within one mile of Miami Freedom Park increased 9.7% since 2023 as the $1 billion Inter Miami stadium takes shape.

The stadium project is projected to generate $2.6 billion in economic impact over 30 years.

Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix and PGA Tour Drive Real Estate Boom

Miami's sports explosion arrives as the city experiences record population growth from domestic and international migration.

Miami-Dade County gained 64,211 new residents between 2023 and 2024.

The new arrivals bring serious money with an average adjusted gross income of $175,600.

That's significantly higher than long-term residents and it's injecting billions into the local economy.

The combination of sports tourism, business relocations, and Florida's tax-friendly environment has made Miami the number two commercial real estate investment target in the nation.

Only Dallas-Fort Worth ranks higher in investor surveys.

Single-family home prices are forecast to grow 9.7% in Miami during 2026.

Mortgage rates dropping toward 6% are making the market more accessible to buyers who got priced out during the rate spike.

Trump's appearance at the championship game underscores his administration's focus on major sporting events as economic engines.

The President attended the Super Bowl, Daytona 500, U.S. Open, and Ryder Cup during his first year back in office.

His presence at Monday's championship brought enhanced Secret Service security that had fans arriving hours early.

But the hassle is worth it for a city that just figured out how to turn sports into a $3 billion annual revenue stream.

Suarez summed up Miami's transformation from tourism destination to global sports capital.

"It really is a watershed moment. It is a generational opportunity," Suarez stated.

"Now you can build a company here. Now you can scale a company. You can change the world from Miami."
