President Trump spent the last four years watching Democrats enable drug cartels while American communities paid the price.
The establishment pretended the crisis didn't exist.

Trump Delivers Justice After Biden's Years of Weakness
Nicolás Maduro woke up Saturday morning as a dictator protected by military installations across Caracas.
By sunrise, he was in U.S. custody facing narco-terrorism charges that carry a life sentence.
President Trump announced early Saturday that U.S. forces successfully carried out a "large scale strike against Venezuela" that resulted in the capture of Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.¹
The operation unfolded around 2 a.m. local time when at least seven explosions rocked Caracas, targeting key military installations including La Carlota military airfield and Fuerte Tiuna, Venezuela's main military complex.²
Smoke poured from military facilities as U.S. aircraft swept through Venezuelan airspace.
Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López called it "the greatest outrage" Venezuela had suffered, but Trump had warned Maduro for months that justice was coming.³
Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Maduro and his wife now face indictment in the Southern District of New York on charges including narco-terrorism conspiracy and cocaine importation conspiracy.⁴
Federal prosecutors charged Maduro in 2020 with running the Cartel of the Suns, a cocaine trafficking operation that deliberately sought to "flood" the United States with drugs to harm American communities.⁵
Trump designated the Cartel of the Suns as a foreign terrorist organization in November 2025 and increased the bounty on Maduro to $50 million.⁶
Trump wasn't playing games with narco-terrorists while Biden sat on his hands.
Democrats Rage While Trump Protects Americans
The operation caught Venezuelan officials completely off guard.
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez admitted the regime had no information on Maduro's whereabouts and demanded the U.S. provide "proof of life" for the captured dictator.⁷
Venezuela declared a state of emergency and accused the U.S. of attempting to seize the country's oil resources, but Trump's justification was clear — stopping the flow of drugs destroying American communities.⁸
Republican Senator Mike Lee confirmed Secretary of State Marco Rubio told him the action was taken to protect U.S. personnel executing the arrest warrant and fell within the President's constitutional authority under Article II.⁹
But Democrats immediately attacked Trump for decisive action.
Senator Brian Schatz warned against military involvement, claiming the U.S. had "no vital national interests in Venezuela."¹⁰
Senator Ruben Gallego called it an "illegal" and "unjustified war."¹¹
These Democrats spent four years allowing cartels to operate with impunity while fentanyl killed over 100,000 Americans annually.
Now they're outraged that Trump stopped a narco-terrorist actively flooding the U.S. with cocaine.
Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado supported Trump's strategy, recognizing that Maduro's regime had turned Venezuela into a narco-state.¹²
Trump's operation followed months of escalating pressure including strikes on over 30 alleged drug trafficking boats in the Caribbean, a naval blockade of Venezuelan oil tankers, and a CIA drone strike on a Venezuelan port facility in December.¹³
Russia and Iran predictably condemned the strikes, with Russia's foreign ministry calling it "armed aggression."¹⁴
Cuba's president labeled it "state terrorism."¹⁵
Trump scheduled a press conference at Mar-a-Lago for 11 a.m. Saturday to provide additional details about the operation that finally brought a wanted narco-terrorist to justice.¹⁶
For years, federal prosecutors documented how Maduro and top Venezuelan officials corrupted their country's institutions to facilitate cocaine trafficking into the United States.
The 2020 indictment charged Maduro with running the Cartel of the Suns since 1999, coordinating multi-ton cocaine shipments with Colombian FARC rebels, and providing military-grade weapons to narco-terrorists.¹⁷
Biden did nothing while this narco-terrorist operated freely.
Trump sent the message that America won't tolerate dictators who weaponize drugs against our communities.
Maduro will now face American justice on American soil for crimes that devastated countless American families.
