Despite hating Donald Trump more than anybody, Joe Biden has benefited from the work he did as President.
Every accomplishment he touts was caused because of Trump.
That’s why Trump just crushed Biden for trying to take credit for his top accomplishment.
In his first months in office, Joe Biden infuriated tens of millions of Americans.
He banned fracking, pushed his transgender agenda into overdrive, and destroyed millions of jobs.
But whenever anybody expresses their frustration, he points out accomplishments like the vaccine roll-out, which was started by former President Donald Trump.
Now, as he continues facing setbacks, he is now announcing the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, stating that the withdrawal will be complete on September 11, 2021 in a clear political stunt.
Of course, this pledge was first made in 2011, when he was serving as Vice President to Barack Obama, and it never happened, so whether he will follow through this time remains to be seen.
But even if he does follow through, Trump had some harsh words for him, stating that the withdrawal should happen sooner, and the only reason he is able to withdraw now is because of groundwork he did during his four years in the White House.
In a short statement, Trump pointed out that he planned on withdrawing on May 1, stating that he had already pulled out most of the equipment the U.S. had in the region, and reduced the amount of troops in Afghanistan to less than 2,000.
Trump’s statement reads:
“I wish Joe Biden wouldn’t use September 11th as the date to withdraw our troops from Afghanistan, for two reasons. First, we can and should get out earlier. Nineteen years is enough, in fact, far too much and way too long. I made early withdraw possible by already pulling much of our billions of dollars of equipment out and, more importantly, reducing our military presence to less than 2,000 troops from the 16,000 level that was there (likewise in Iraq, and zero troops in Syria except for the area where we KEPT THE OIL). Secondly, September 11th represents a very sad event and period for our Country and should remain a day of reflection and remembrance honoring those great souls we lost. Getting out of Afghanistan is a wonderful and positive thing to do. I planned to withdraw on May 1st, and we should keep as close to that schedule as possible.”
Most notably, Trump bashes Biden for picking the date of 9/11, stating that date “should remain a day of reflection and remembrance.”
Biden is using the date as a political stunt, keeping troops in the region longer than needed in order to get good press.
But that is what Democrats are known to do.
For eight years, Biden could have fought to pull the troops out of the region as Vice President, but didn’t do it.
Trump worked to get it done, and just as he was at the finish line, Biden is jumping in to take credit.
