Delta Force just pulled a dictator out of his own compound in Caracas.
Now Homan says the cartels are next and there is nowhere on earth to hide.
He delivered that warning on national television Monday and meant every word.
The War Came to Maduro First
The cartels thought they had time.
For decades, TDA, MS-13, and the Sinaloa Cartel operated like untouchable empires – flooding American communities with fentanyl, trafficking children, and murdering with zero consequences.
Then Trump sent Delta Force into Caracas and dragged Nicolás Maduro out of his compound.
That changed the math for every cartel leader hiding south of the border.
Border Czar Tom Homan appeared on Newsmax Monday and delivered a message that should terrify every narco-terrorist on the planet.
"There is no safe haven in the world for terrorists who put this country in harm's way," Homan said.
He told his audience not to mistake the current quiet for inaction.
"They're going to hear more," Homan promised.
Trump personally designated eight cartels as Foreign Terrorist Organizations on Day One of his second term – TDA, MS-13, the Sinaloa Cartel, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, and four others.
That designation is not a paperwork formality.
It unlocks every military, financial, and intelligence tool the United States government possesses.
Playing the Away Game
Homan spelled out what comes next in plain terms.
Trump is taking the fight to the cartels on their own turf – what Homan called playing the "away game."
"He's going to take them out where they live," Homan said.
This is already underway.
The U.S. military has carried out 35 known strikes on cartel drug boats in the Caribbean, killing 115 individuals according to reporting from January 2026.
Trump told Sean Hannity in January that American forces had "knocked out 97% of the drugs coming in by water" and announced ground operations in Mexico were next.
In February 2026, the DEA's Operation Fentanyl Free America seized 4.7 million fentanyl pills and nearly 2,400 pounds of fentanyl powder in a single 30-day stretch – removing more than 57 million deadly doses from American communities.
Trump also signed an executive order designating fentanyl itself as a weapon of mass destruction.
That is not the language of a drug enforcement campaign.
That is the language of a war.
What Homan's Warning Actually Means
The political class wants you to think this is just tough talk.
It is not.
Homan reminded the Newsmax audience of what these organizations have actually done to American families.
"Thousands of Americans have suffered at the hands of TDA and MS-13 and the other organizations that Trump has designated terrorist organizations," he said.
He said this before – in 2024, Homan stated on the record that cartels "killed more Americans than every terrorist organization in the world combined."

The Biden administration spent four years treating that mass death as an acceptable cost of doing business.
Trump treated it as an act of war.
The FTO designations give the U.S. government authority to pursue cartel assets, prosecute anyone who provides material support to these organizations, sanction foreign financial institutions, and deploy military force.
Every one of those tools is now in play.
Homan told Americans to watch what happens next.
"President Trump made a promise to the American people," he said. "He's going to keep that promise."
Maduro thought his compound in Caracas was safe too.
Homan just made sure every cartel leader on earth knows how that ended.
