Connecticut spent a decade building laws to keep ICE out of their cities.
ICE showed up in Danbury anyway.
And a top Democrat Senator went on national TV to complain – but Homan had the perfect answer ready.
Connecticut Built a Shield for Illegal Aliens and Called It Compassion
Connecticut Democrats passed the Trust Act in 2013.
They strengthened it in 2019.
They strengthened it again in May 2025 – months before Trump's return – as if they knew what was coming.
The updated law lets illegal aliens sue towns and cities if local police help ICE.
Their legal fees? Covered by the same taxpayers they victimize.
That's Connecticut's definition of justice.
While Democrats were building that legal fortress, ICE was quietly building case files.

When federal agents hit Danbury last week, they weren't guessing.
They had names, addresses, and final orders of removal signed by federal judges.
Danbury has a long history with ICE – a June 2026 operation nabbed Edwin Palacios-Rivera, a Peruvian national with prior arrests including domestic violence, possession of burglar tools, and multiple violations of a protective order.
He'd been walking free in a sanctuary city the whole time.
Blumenthal Said Only Six Were Criminals and Proved the Opposite
Senator Richard Blumenthal went on Face the Nation Sunday morning with a number: roughly 100 people arrested in Danbury, and maybe six or seven had criminal histories.
He meant that as an indictment of ICE.
He accidentally made the opposite case.
Six or seven people who should have been removed years ago – before their next crime, before their next victim – shielded by a law Connecticut Democrats passed, strengthened, and bragged about.
That's not a small number.
That's a policy failure with names attached to it.

People in the country illegally, with final orders of removal issued by federal judges.
Homan said it plainly on CNN Sunday: "ICE is out there enforcing law that was enacted by Congress."
Not Trump's law.

Democrats Built This Crisis and Now They're Crying About the Cleanup
Governor Ned Lamont said he was "horrified."
Senator Chris Murphy claimed ICE waited until children were on buses before making arrests.
Homan said he was unaware of any bus-stop arrests, and made clear that ICE enforces federal court orders – with no exceptions for criminals or national security threats, regardless of location.
Not at a bus stop.
Not at a park.
Not at a day laborer site.
Not anywhere in Danbury.
Here's what Democrats will never acknowledge: the "crisis" they're describing – illegal aliens with deep community ties getting arrested years after their removal orders – is a crisis they manufactured.
Connecticut's Trust Act didn't protect families.
It delayed the inevitable while creating the exact scenes Democrats are now using for fundraising emails.
Every year they expanded sanctuary protections, the backlog of federal removal orders grew – and the harder it became for ICE to conduct quiet, targeted operations.
Homan isn't terrorizing Danbury.
He's executing federal court orders that Connecticut Democrats spent years trying to nullify.
The Department of Justice already sued Connecticut and New Haven in April 2026, arguing the Trust Act violates the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution.
That case is still active – and ICE isn't waiting for the verdict.
Nearly 50,000 people were arrested in July alone, a record for Trump's second term.
The tantrum from Blumenthal, Murphy, and Lamont isn't slowing any of it down.
And every sanctuary law Connecticut passes makes the next operation bigger, not smaller – because the backlog only grows when you spend years hiding people from federal judges.
