Tom Cotton Just Exposed the One Demand That Proves Democrats Want ICE Officers Doxxed

Chuck Schumer shut down the Department of Homeland Security for 42 days to block deportations of violent criminal illegal aliens.

Now Cotton just revealed what Democrats were really after.

And it has nothing to do with accountability.

Democrats Weaponized TSA Lines to Protect Violent Criminal Deportations

Cotton went on Fox News Sunday and laid it out clean: Democrats manufactured this crisis on purpose.

"Whatever procedural differences we have between the House and the Senate, the reason we're at this impasse is that Democrats are using long TSA lines to throw a temper tantrum about deportations of violent criminal illegal aliens," Cotton said.

He was right.

The DHS shutdown started February 14 – and for 42 days, TSA agents went without paychecks while Democrats held the entire department hostage.

Airport absence rates peaked above 12% – the highest in TSA history.

More than 500 TSA officers quit during the standoff.

Schumer kept moving the goalposts.

Republicans offered a deal. Democrats rejected it.

Republicans offered another deal. Democrats rejected that one too.

Sen. James Lankford watched it happen in real time: "We literally offered what they asked for three days ago and then suddenly it's like, oh no, now we got new stuff. This has been the story of the entire time."

That's not negotiation. That's obstruction.

Democrats Demanded ICE Agents Remove Masks While Left-Wing Groups Were Doxxing Them

One of Democrats' core demands had nothing to do with airport lines or TSA paychecks.

They wanted a law banning ICE officers from wearing masks during operations.

Cotton explained exactly why that demand matters: "The reason why ICE officers wear masks is because radical left-wing Democrats will dox them, and then their street militias will terrorize their wives and their kids at their houses."

He's not exaggerating.

DHS reported that death threats against ICE officers surged 8,000% and assaults jumped 1,300%.

Left-wing activists followed an ICE agent home in Los Angeles, livestreamed his address to their followers, and shouted "ICE lives on your street and you should know."

Three of them were federally indicted.

A whistleblower allegedly dumped the personal information of nearly 4,500 ICE agents and DHS employees onto a website called "ICE List."

ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons said it plainly: "People are out there taking photos of their names, their faces and posting them online with death threats to their family and themselves. I'm not gonna let my officers and agents go out there and put their lives on the line and their family on the line."

Democrats knew all of this.

They demanded the masks come off anyway.

The DHS Shutdown Ended and Democrats Got Everything They Demanded

The final deal funded most of DHS but carved ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations out entirely.

Democrats celebrated.

Violent criminal illegal aliens in sanctuary cities breathed a sigh of relief.

Meanwhile, an illegal alien with more than 30 prior arrests brutally stabbed Virginia mother Stephanie Minter to death – and the new Virginia governor refused to cooperate with ICE on his release from prison.

That's not a side effect of Democratic policy.

That's the point of it.

Republicans had already seen this coming.

They pre-funded ICE last summer with $75 billion through the One Big Beautiful Bill – which is the only reason deportations kept running through the entire shutdown.

Democrats knew that too.

Which means the 42-day shutdown – the missed paychecks, the airport chaos, the TSA officers who quit – accomplished exactly nothing on ICE enforcement.

So why did Schumer do it?

Because the mask ban was never about accountability.

It was about handing a database of home addresses to the same street activists who were already following ICE agents to their driveways and posting their kids' Instagram pages online.

Tom Cotton called it a temper tantrum. That's being generous.

This was a coordinated attempt to make it impossible for federal law enforcement officers to do their jobs without putting their families at risk.

The American people stood in those lines.

Stephanie Minter's family is burying her. And Chuck Schumer got exactly what he wanted.
