Tim Walz has had the worst debut of any Vice Presidential nominee in recent memory.

He continues to cause problems for the rest of his party.

And Tim Walz made one awful remark that left Democrats a nervous wreck.

Tim Walz praised the Chinese Communist Party’s system of government

Questions are growing about Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s relationship with China.

He made over 30 trips to the communist nation during his career as a high school teacher, including some that were funded and organized by the Chinese government.

And he spent his honeymoon in China during the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre.

Walz praised Chinese communism in a 1991 article from the Alliance Times-Herald – a local newspaper in Alliance, Nebraska, where he was a high school teacher at the time.

The article focused on the summer trips that Walz took high school students on to China.

“It means that everyone is the same and everyone shares,” Walz told students about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) system of government in November 1991. “The doctor and the construction worker make the same. The Chinese government and the place they work for provide housing and 14 kg or about 30 pounds of rice per month. They get food and housing.”

Author and China expert Michael Sobolik said that Walz’s description of Chinese communism was a “shockingly naïve description of the Chinese Communist Party’s rule.”

“American students need to learn the horrific truths of communism and the horrors this dangerous ideology has wrought over the past century,” Sobolik told the Washington Free Beacon. “Gov. Walz should clarify his comments and share his impression of communism in 2024.”

Tim Walz has a weird connection to China

A 1994 article by the Star-Herald noted that Walz “always has been fascinated by Communist China.”

Walz first traveled to the communist nation for the first time in 1989, shortly after the CCP crushed a pro-democracy uprising at Tiananmen Square.

He began taking high school students on trips to China that were “arranged by a friend of Walz in China’s foreign affairs department,” the Star-Herald reported.

Walz and his wife, Gwen, set up a private company, Educational Travel Adventures Inc., to organize high school trips to China.

The company was disbanded shortly after he started his first term in Congress in 2007.

Walz was also a visiting Macau Polytechnic University in China until at least 2007.

The retired Army National Guard Master Sergeant also likely had a security clearance through the military when he was making his frequent visits to China.

Visiting China more than 30 times has the warning sign flashing red.

That’s why House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer (R-KY) opened an investigation into Walz’s potential connections to the CCP.

“The CCP has sought to destroy the United States through coordinated influence and infiltration campaigns that target every aspect of American life, including our own elected officials,” Comer said in a statement.

Tim Walz’s cozy relationship with China, which dates back decades, is a red flag for someone seeking the Vice Presidency.
