Fox News Channel hosted the first GOP debate on Wednesday in Milwaukee.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy took center stage.
But this video of Vivek Ramaswamy and his wife preparing for the first GOP debate put jaws on the floor.
Donald Trump’s absence in the first debate gave the GOP candidates on stage a chance to introduce themselves and make their case to Republican voters.
Eight Republican candidates qualified for the debate, including Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy, Nikki Haley, Mike Pence, Tim Scott, Chris Christie, Asa Hutchinson, and Doug Burgum.
Most of the hype headed into the debate centered around Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy.
Even though Ron DeSantis catapulted out the gate with a strong start to his campaign, his poll numbers only went down from there.
The Florida Governor is fresh off a reboot that saw dozens of staff members fired and a new Campaign Manager brought in to try and right the sinking ship.
DeSantis hoped Wednesday would provide him with the chance to highlight his proven record in Florida and his vision for the country if elected President.
But as DeSantis’ numbers went down, businessman and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy’s skyrocketed, with some polls now showing him in second place over the Florida Governor.
At 38 years old, Ramaswamy is the youngest Presidential contender in the race.
Ramaswamy spent years battling the Left’s woke ideology in the corporate and business world.
On the campaign trail, he’s blasted Joe Biden for weaponizing the government and has promised to pardon Trump if elected President.
One of the reasons for his rise in the polls is that Ramaswamy is personable with voters and comes off as genuinely honest and trustworthy.
He also has a sense of humor, as evidenced by him rapping to Eminem on stage at the Iowa State Fair.
On Tuesday, Ramaswamy offered a peek into his debate preparations.
He posted a video on X showing he and his wife doing burpee exercises before high fiving each other at the end of the set.
“More debate prep this morning, with my favorite sparring partner,” Ramaswamy wrote above the video of the couple performing burpee exercises.

Perhaps that explains why he came off as so high-energy during the debate Wednesday night as many viewers thought he stole the spotlight from Governor DeSantis.
