The Supreme Court has been making a lot of headlines lately.
Joe Biden’s continued disregard for the law, and Democrats’ cries for court packing, have the Justices none too happy right now.
And this Supreme Court decision could put the nail in the Biden administration’s coffin.
Last Friday, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated the Texas Heartbeat bill after an Obama-appointed judge at the District Court level struck down the law in a decision Joe Biden and the Left cheered.
The law bans abortions after six weeks by allowing private citizens to file civil lawsuits against abortionists who terminated the lives of innocent babies.
When the bill was passed in Texas, the Left attacked and the likes of Biden, Pelosi, and many other radical Democrats vowed to have it undone.
For a brief moment, the Left won, but then the late-night Friday ruling came from the Appeals Court that shattered their dreams of murdering more innocent lives.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton argued that courts cannot order private citizens to stop filing lawsuits.
“A court ‘cannot lawfully enjoin the world at large’ let alone hold Texas responsible for the filings of private citizens that Texas is powerless to prevent,” Paxton argued.
The Fifth Circuit Court agreed and gave the Biden administration an ultimatum to answer the state of Texas.
The Washington Post reported:
“A federal appeals court late Friday reinstated the nation’s most restrictive abortion law, which bars the procedure as early as six weeks into pregnancy with no exceptions for rape or incest. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit granted a request filed Friday afternoon by the Texas attorney general to temporarily suspend a judge’s order blocking the law, which has halted most abortions in the state.”
This tees up a real showdown for the Supreme Court and the Biden administration as the court is set to hear oral arguments on Mississippi’s ban on abortion after 15 weeks on December 1.
Many are wondering if the court will add another abortion case to the already full docket.
The Biden administration put its reputation on the line by officially condemning the state of Texas for passing the Heartbeat bill, so a Supreme Court showdown could be disastrous for Democrats.
