Democrats are facing an uphill battle in the midterm elections.
Many incumbents are choosing not to seek re-election in anticipation of a red wave.
Now, another Democrat running for Congress blew up her entire career in one shocking night.
Oklahoma Democrat Abby Broyles is attempting to unseat freshman Republican Congresswoman Stephanie Bice, who defeated the Democratic incumbent in 2020.
But Broyles’s campaign and political career just went off the rails in one jaw-dropping night.
Broyles went over to a friend’s house the night she was hosting a sleepover party for her tween daughter and her schoolmates.
As the night unfolded and Broyles got boozy, she started insulting and cursing at the young girls.
News site Nondoc reported that, “Broyles became intoxicated and spoke derogatorily to some of the girls. She allegedly called one girl an ‘acne f*cker,’ which prompted the girl to leave the room in tears. Broyles allegedly called another girl a ‘Hispanic f*cker’ and another a ‘judgy f*cker.’ At one point, Broyles allegedly vomited into a laundry basket and onto one girl’s shoes.”
Sarah Matthews, the mother of one of the girls at the party, called out Broyles on Twitter for her shameful behavior.
But when Nondoc reached out to Broyles for comment, she denied the allegations.
Broyles said:
“I saw the tweets. I have been out of town on a fundraising trip, and they are awful and offensive and false…I mean, I get trolled on Twitter all the time, but I don’t know these women and I don’t know what is behind this, but it’s just not true.”
When asked if she had ever been to the house where the party occurred, Broyles replied, “No…I don’t want to talk about — I mean, this is ridiculous that this is becoming a thing…This didn’t happen.”
However, it became impossible for Broyles to deny and wait for the controversy to blow over.
Broyles said she blacked out and began hallucinating after a bad combination of alcohol and sleeping medication.
Worse yet, Broyles tried to throw her friend under the bus for giving her the pills.
Broyles also denied saying she claimed to be out of town; she accused Nondoc of “misquoting” her.
The Democrat Media Complex has been slow to cover the story because there is no good way to spin it.
If Broyles were a Republican, the story would be plastered everywhere up until election day.
Broyles is attempting to hold on, but Democrats are supposedly trying to find a replacement for her.
