It’s clear to anyone who pays even the slightest attention that the entertainment industry is heavily biased against Conservatives.
The comedy world especially is filled with far-left radicals who routinely, and gladly, hammer conservatives.
This far-left comedian has taken it a step further, though, admitting that she stops herself from joking about liberals like Joe Biden.
Shielding Democrats from jokes has become a prerequisite for any comedian who wants to make it in today’s entertainment world.
Comedy shows like Saturday Night Live and The Daily Show, that base much of their so-called comedy on politics, have spent years avoiding jokes about anyone on the Left.
If they do happen to poke fun at someone on the Left, it’s always rather benign, surface level, humor, and follows with a chorus of editorials from the so-called “mainstream” media about how “unfunny” the bit was, and how the shows “can do better.”
SNL’s lack of equal opportunity humor became so egregious and obvious during Barack Obama’s Presidency, that SNL writer Jim Downey tried to claim in 2014 that they didn’t make fun of Obama because there was literally nothing to make fun of.
“If I had to describe Obama as a comedy project, I would say, ‘Degree of difficulty, 10 point 10,’” Downey said in the book Live from New York, an oral history of SNL.
“It’s like being a rock climber looking up at a thousand-foot-high face of solid obsidian, polished and oiled,” Downey claimed. “There’s not a single thing to grab onto — certainly not a flaw or hook that you can caricature.”
That type of unbelievable dishonesty and outright partisanship is prevalent throughout comedy today.
For her part, far-left, and rather unfunny, comedian Samantha Bee has made a career out of political comedy, routinely taking shots at conservatives, while avoiding the Left altogether.
But rather than claim ignorance as SNL has done for years about all the jokes they could make about the Left, Bee outright admitted in a recent interview that she has different rules for Democrats like Joe Biden.
When asked by, of all people, Dan Rather – who also admitted that he pulls punches when it comes to Democrats – whether or not she avoids taking shots at Biden she would’ve destroyed Trump with, Bee happily admitted that she does.
“I can’t deny that that has happened,” she admitted. “I think that’s probably true across the board.”
“You’re like, ‘OK, well, we could be making jokes about the infrastructure plan,’ but in general, I’m like, ‘Wow, this is great,’” she continued. “Why would I purposefully undermine something that seems to be a great idea, pretty much across the board?”
On top of that, Bee went on to explain that she’s calculated in her approach to her overtly political act, saying that she specifically targets those she disagrees with in order to undermine them.
“I don’t need to make jokes just to make jokes,” she said. “I like to make really targeted jokes. There are more worthy targets [than Biden] right now.”
But, of course, Bee’s entire career in the eyes of mainstream viewers is predicated on her objectivity, and the false perception that she makes fun of everyone.
With that in mind, after realizing what her admissions could ultimately mean for whatever credibility she has left, Bee quickly tried to walk back some of her statements by claiming that Biden and his administration won’t always be “immune” to her efforts to “comedically interrogate what they’re doing.”
We’ve certainly all heard that song and dance before, and Samantha Bee isn’t fooling anyone who’s brain hasn’t been co-opted by far-left ideology.
Bee and the overwhelming majority of the comedians today have zero interest in ever making fun of liberals as it would harm their standing in the eyes of the far-left power brokers in the entertainment world.
They know who their true audience is, and even if they don’t care to appease those elitists, those comedians all harbor far-left bias that clouds their ability to find anything funny about someone who shares their beliefs.
Samantha Bee is just another in a long line of comedians who has made the conscious choice to alienate half the country, and accepts that because their far-left grooming has conditioned them to vehemently despise half the country.
Sadly, we may never see comedy or entertainment that can objectively cover political topics ever again.
Because that’s the way comedians like Samantha Bee want it to be.
