This conservative Senator grilled Dr. Anthony Fauci over mask mandates and left Fauci fuming

For more than a year now, when it comes to COVID, politicians and bureaucrats have seemingly made things up as they go along.

They’ve told us one thing, only to do another, and ignored both studies that don’t align with their rules, and basic common sense.

There have been a few who have stood up to them, though, like this conservative Senator who recently grilled Dr. Anthony Fauci on mask mandates and left Fauci fuming.

When the COVID pandemic began, so-called “experts” like Dr. Fauci encouraged the American people to refrain from wearing masks.

They told us that the virus was more likely to be contracted through surfaces than through the air.

But like much of their rules and mandates, that changed over the course of time, and we’ve reached a point now where despite new studies and the availability of vaccines, they’re now urging Americans to wear multiple masks at once, and to do so for yet another year or more.

Fortunately, though, during a Senate hearing on COVID, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), a medical doctor with decades of experience in his own right, took Fauci to task over the government’s guidance on masks he helped craft.

Senator Paul cited numerous studies that show reinfections of the virus are exceedingly rare, and asked Fauci to provide studies that justify his argument that Americans should wear masks “well into 2022,” given those who’ve had the virus or the vaccine are unlikely to contract the virus.

“I’m not sure I understand the connection of what you’re saying about masks and reinfection,” Fauci replied. “We’re talking about people who have never been infected before.”

Dr. Paul clarified that he was rather clearly asking why every American is being told to wear a mask, when studies show those who have had COVID most likely have natural immunity.

“If we’re not spreading the infection, isn’t it just theater?” Paul asked. “You have the vaccine and you’re wearing two masks, isn’t that theater?”

Fauci became visibly frustrated by the idea that someone would press back against his claims, rather than putting him on the same pedestal the media and Left have for over a year.

“Here we go again with the theater,” Fauci replied. “Let’s get down to the facts.”

The facts and studies Dr. Paul presented, Fauci claims, should be totally dismissed because according to him, the studies were not carried out properly, and don’t account for all the supposed variations of the virus that now exist.

“That’s a good reason for a mask,” Fauci said, citing a South African study conducted by J&J — the company behind the vaccine Fauci is pushing — which claimed that people with natural immunity from COVID were not protected against the variant.

Interestingly, neither Fauci or companies like J&J that are behind the vaccine they claim is so vital, have ever explained how that vaccine protects against the variant they now use to justify all of their mandates.

Paul, however, wasn’t going to allow Fauci to once again talk his way around giving the American people answers.

The Senator demanded Fauci cite any study that shows “significant reinfection, hospitalization or death after either natural infection or the vaccine.”

“It doesn’t exist,” Paul declared.

“You’re not hearing what I’m saying about variants,” Fauci rebuked.

“You’ve been vaccinated and you parade around in two masks for show!” Paul fired back.

“No,” Fauci said. “Let me just state for the record that masks are not theater. They are protective.”

And therein lies the entire crux of what Fauci, and those like him, are claiming.

When subjected to intellectual scrutiny, or even common sense, their entire argument is to do what they say because they’re saying they’re right.

They cannot provide studies that back up any of their mandates, and merely dismiss the studies that disagree with them, as Dr. Paul proved.

Sadly, though, most Americans will never hear the facts Dr. Paul laid out, as the media will bury this, and once again place Dr. Fauci on a national broadcast where he will not be challenged on any of his claims.
