The economy was booming to heights not previously seen before under President Donald Trump.
Whereas President Joe Biden has delivered nothing but generation-high inflation rates, all-time-high gas prices, a supply chain crisis and an oncoming food shortage.
And while the Biden administration is trying to pass the buck, this CEO is pointing the finger of blame directly at President Biden.
The new 8.5%, 12-month rolling average for inflation is the highest Americans have paid since 1981 – the recovery from the terrible Jimmy Carter economy.
Meanwhile, the price at the pump has never been higher.
And when you go grocery shopping, you’ll notice more and more shelves bare of options.
The CEO of Hispanic cuisine company, Goya Foods, Bob Unanue was recently interviewed by Maria Bartiromo on the Fox Business Channel.
Bartiromo asked Unanue his thoughts on inflation, and his answer was pointed.
“We are on the precipice of a global food crisis,” Unanue said. “God created humanity; humanity has created every way to destroy itself. From nuclear, to biological to chemical. But now we’ve waged a war, we’ve weaponized food.”
The Chief Executive of the multi-billion dollar company points out that Russia and Ukraine combine to account for half of the world’s fertilizer production.
And without fertilizer, crops can’t grow.
However, unlike the Biden Administration, Unanue isn’t putting the blame on Russian Premiere Vladim Putin.
“We have provoked, in a way, this war, by showing an incredible weakness around the globe and lack of resolve,” Unanue said. “It started in Afghanistan, when we left women and children behind. If the United States, the greatest country on Earth, doesn’t stand up for the defenseless, who will?”
Unanue also believes President Biden giving away America’s energy independence is contributing to rising grocery costs and food shortages.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, from March 2021 to March 2022 the price of ground beef is up 13.8%, bacon is up 18.2%, eggs have increased 11.2%, oranges have surged 18.3%, fish and seafood has increased 10.9% coffee is up 11.2%, pork spiked 15.3%, apples are up 7.2%, butter increased 12.5%, sugar is up 8%, milk surged 13.3 %, and ham increased 14.6%.
Back in 2020, Unanue praised then-President Donald Trump for his handling of the economy.
“We’re truly blessed . . . to have a leader like President Trump, who is a builder,” Unanue said. “We have an incredible builder and we pray, we pray for our leadership, our president and for our country, that we continue to prosper and to grow.”
Of course, giving Trump a compliment and wishing America well was enough for woke leftists like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to issue a boycott on Goya products.
In December of the same year, Unanue named AOC “employee of the month” after her boycott resulted in a 1,000% spike in sales.
