For the far-left, publicly destroying someone’s reputation for disagreeing with their ideology isn’t enough.
No, the far-left needs scalps – they need those they disagree with to lose everything so they’re permanently silenced.
And the latest is a popular banjo player who has been kicked out of his band for merely reading a conservative book.
On Sunday, Winston Marshall, the lead banjo player for the folk-pop band Mumford & Sons, took to Twitter to express support for author and journalist Andy Ngo, and his new book Unmasked: Inside Antifa’s Radical Plan To Destroy Democracy.
“Finally had the time to read your important book. You’re a brave man,” Marshall wrote in a since deleted Tweet.
However, that rather innocuous Tweet struck a chord with the far-left who support radical groups like Antifa and the violence they inflict on anyone who doesn’t espouse their extremist ideology.
As a result of all of the hate the Left directed at Marshall, and subsequently his band, Winston is now a pariah, and according to The Sun, has been kicked out of Mumford & Sons.
The Sun reports that the band held “crisis talks” on Sunday night, and his bandmates Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, and Ted Dwane, along with their management, determined that it would be best to ask Winston to leave the band.
That decision caused Winston to issue a mea culpa on Twitter in which he said he was taking “time away from the band to examine my blindspots.”

A source close to the band, though, revealed to The Sun that his bandmates have long loathed Marshall for being a conservative.
“Winston’s staunchly right-wing political views have been causing tension for some time now within the band,” the source said. “There has been a rift forming for the past four years with some people even going as far to say he has been ‘radicalised.’”
Not to worry, though – according to the source, the band’s de facto leader Marcus Mumford “would always be an advocate for his right to free speech and for him to believe what he wants,” unless those are conservative views that he dares to utter in public, of course.
“But his tweet on Sunday was the final straw and they said they couldn’t put up with it any longer because it massively impacts the band’s image,” the source concluded.
Implying that Winston Marshall’s conservative views harm the bands “image,” is simply a convenient excuse for the “tolerant” liberals in the band to publicly bury someone they once called a friend simply because they disagreed with his politics.
And that’s the actual fact of the matter – any musician and other celebrities are simply not allowed to have any viewpoints that aren’t exactly in line with the views of the far-left.
Being a conservative is now akin to having leprosy in Biblical times.
If you’re a conservative, you’re forced to live outside of society, and if anyone comes in contact with you they are now “unclean” and forbidden from attending services at the Church of Liberalism.
It’s all rather ironic, considering the main claim from the band’s fans was that Marshall was supporting “fascism,” yet they are the ones who always tend to give into the fascistic impulses to silence and destroy those who disagree with liberalism.
Winston Marshall wasn’t the first to meet this fate, and he certainly won’t be the last.
