More polls keep coming in showing the new state of the race now that Joe Biden is out and Kamala Harris is in.

But the results aren’t what anyone was expecting.

And these shocking polls sent a chill down Kamala Harris’ spine.

Swing state polls show Trump maintaining his lead

New polls from The Hill and Emerson College showed the state of the race stable.

Trump led Harris in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

The race was tied in Wisconsin.

Harris did manage to raise her vote share from when Biden’s poll numbers collapsed after Democrats all demanded he drop out of the race following the June 27 debate.

“Harris has recovered a portion of the vote for the Democrats on the presidential ticket since the fallout after the June 27 debate,” executive director of Emerson College Polling Spencer Kimball wrote.

But Harris boosted her numbers with the base of the Democrat Party coming home.

“Young voters have shifted toward Harris: her support compared to Biden increased by 16 points in Arizona, eight in Georgia, five in Michigan, 11 in Pennsylvania, and one in Wisconsin since earlier polling this month,” Kimball added.

The problem with Harris’ poll numbers

But Harris’ so-called “bump” looks like fool’s gold.

Editor-in-Chief of Jewish Insider Josh Kraushaar noted that Harris’ poll numbers were no better than Biden’s pre-debate polls.

“Harris’ polling looking similar to Biden polling before many Dems called for him to step aside,” Kraushaar wrote on X.

Harris bringing the left-wing home could be a case of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

“May end up getting better base numbers at the expense of seniors and moderates,” Kraushaar added.

And in fact, the new set of The Hill/Emerson swing state polls looked exactly like the June 20 swing state polls The Hill/Emerson produced.

While Kamala Harris increased her vote share, Donald Trump’s either increased or stayed the same.

Harris isn’t winning over any swing voters who are going for Trump.

A stable race is good news for Trump since he is in the lead.

And for all the take of the jolt of enthusiasm the Democrats received by Harris entering the race, it isn’t translating beyond their base due to Harris’ deep unpopularity with voters.
