Four Americans just broke a record no human had touched since 1970 – and stood silent for 22 minutes while reporters asked about UFOs.
Not one journalist in that room asked them a single question about the Moon.
They were five feet away.

Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen launched April 1 aboard the Orion spacecraft – named Integrity by the crew.
Six days later they flew behind the far side of the Moon and went silent for 40 minutes – the longest communications blackout in human spaceflight history.
At 252,756 miles from Earth, they broke Apollo 13's distance record – a record that had stood since 1970.
They watched Earth set below the lunar horizon.
They witnessed a total solar eclipse from the window of a deep-space capsule.

They came home April 10, splashing down off San Diego after 694,481 miles traveled.
Three weeks later, Trump brought them to the Oval Office.
The press asked about UFOs.
Then Iran.
Then James Comey.
For 22 minutes, the four of them stood behind the president's shoulders and never said a word – because the room full of reporters chased every story except the one standing directly in front of them.
White House Deputy Communications Director Kaelan Dorr went straight to X: "Four American heroes are standing behind the President and reporters haven't asked them a single question about their HISTORIC mission. Truly shameful."

The Last Time This Happened Nixon Threw a State Dinner for 1440 People
When Apollo 11 splashed down in 1969, Nixon made the longest-distance phone call in history to Armstrong and Aldrin while they were still on the Moon.
He flew out to the USS Hornet to meet them in person.
He hosted parades in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
Then he threw a state dinner for 1,440 guests at the Century Plaza Hotel – still remembered as the largest state dinner ever held outside Washington.
The entire country stopped.
That's what Americans used to do when other Americans did the impossible.
Now they have four people standing five feet away who just shattered a 56-year-old record – and the White House press corps used the moment to ask about UFO document releases.
Trump said everyone he knows "wanted to see the launch and they especially wanted to see a successful landing."
He joked with NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman about whether a president could go up on one of the missions.

The astronauts never got the chance to say a word.
The Press Told You Exactly What It Cares About
They named their spacecraft Integrity.
They captured Earthset from behind the Moon's far side – the same kind of image Apollo 8 gave the world in 1968.
They manually flew Orion in deep space and proved the hardware works.
They traveled farther from Earth than any human being in over half a century.
These are the moments that used to define what America was.
The Washington press corps instead wanted to know whether Comey was going to prison.
Steven Cheung, White House Communications Director, said it out loud: "These astronauts are heroes for what they've accomplished. They deserve to be celebrated. Yet, the press didn't have one question for them. It goes to show how out-of-touch the press is."
He's right.
The same media that lectures daily about American decline couldn't find 90 seconds for the four people who just proved America can still do the impossible.
One reporter did tell the crew it was "a great honor to meet all of you" – and mentioned he'd once interviewed Gene Cernan, the last man to walk on the Moon.
That was the closest the room got.
China Is Already Racing and the Press Is Asking About UFOs
Artemis II wasn't the destination.
It was the proof of concept.
The next mission tests lunar landers in Earth orbit in 2027.
The one after that puts boots on the Moon's south pole in 2028 – the first humans on the lunar surface since December 1972.
China is targeting the same south pole before 2030.
This isn't a science competition.
Whoever gets there first controls access to water ice – the resource that makes permanent Moon bases possible and Mars after that inevitable.
Trump said NASA is ahead of schedule and a Moon landing during his second term is a real possibility.
Isaacman confirmed it.
Four Americans just flew a quarter-million miles to prove the most powerful nation on Earth is still the one that shows up when it matters.
Beijing is watching.
The press corps wasn't.
